I attended the Eagles Chairmans function at Subi on the weekend Vs Gold Coast. Alan Cransberg made no mention of Roos (joking or not) coming to Perth. He commented on "Wooshers" contract status by repeatedly stating it will be looked at after the completion of the season but was very disappointed at where they are this season. I got the feeling that he's gone and by talking to many Eagles supporters there they also think his time's up.

And BTW, if you ever get the chance to listen to Cransberg speak, take it up. Impressive.

He would need unprecedented control of any and ALL aspects of the playing group.

no questions asked.

just throw as much money as u can at the man and then sell us hope..

we will pick up the bill

just please

The AFL want him to coach Melbourne, they won't leave any stone unturned, if he isn't coach next year, we will at least know there was nothing more we could have done, and Choco i think will do a very good job

Here's a question:

If we secured Roos as senior coach and after 18 months/36 games of coaching he only had 3 wins on the board, should he be sacked?

I think Roos would at least have things moving in the right direction, Neeld was untried, if we had no confidence in him how could the players?

If the win/loss ratio was the same then the losses would have to be close ones you'd think.

Stuff it offer him Two Million.

He's not about money, he's about passion, integrity, honesty & old fashioned values such.

if our challenge, looks like a challenge he can turn into something interesting & enriching for his soul, then he'll come onboard... I'm sure.

If not, Nothink will do It...

hahaha don't take me serious OD, I was just putting out there that there are so many chances of coaches going anywhere atmo, Roos in not a fait acompli...

IMO Roos does want to coach,,, but I've hird some say GCSuns, the Eagles, the Dees, I think anywhere is possible... that suits his philosophies.

did anyone attend the club luncheon before the gws game?

i heard jackson said the afl money was 1.5M and not 2.75M

Also said the only payback was the afl having a say on board approvals

No cash for a coach

Said what is in the press is more to appease other clubs than the reality

Any truth in this

Any comments

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
