You make good points but this situation demands urgency. Almost every knowledgable person in the football industry cannot come up with any positives for Neeld. It is sad for the man himself and his family but the club must come first, and people must be given some hope no matter how small that is at the moment. The club must get on with it and sooner the better for all concerned.

Neeld could pull a Rev and change his approach to the players and media and go out in a blaze of glory? As far as Jackson goes, he said it all on Day 4 when he said everyone was in over their head. That will be rectified should the AFL want it to be.

Yes it did, Things became greatly worse. A mistake was made. Recriminations will be unhelpful, but a change now is vital.

Obviously I agree with you RR but I'm hoping we can put aside how this happened, and get on with the next phase.

No-one acted in bad faith. There were plenty who thought Mark Neeld would be a great appointment. It's awfully unfortunate and no doubt a good deal worse for him.

There is about to be the greatest challenge for us all, to help refix this club. With supporters like you it has a chance.

I'd suggest Craig will be the likely appointment by default IF Neeld is moved on. When asked if he would like to coach again earlier this year he clearly said he didn't want to coach again and was happy in his present role. Now he appears to be the assistant coach or at the very least, Neeld's new 'advisor' during match day as well as a mentor/assistant to the players as they rotate to the bench. Football Director/Assistant Coach?

Regardless his role has changed in the last few weeks to be something much more "hands on" on match day. He's actively involved in some form of coaching of the players and assisting Neeld with match day issues.

Was (also) noteworthy that Neeld was sitting between Mahoney and Viney on Sunday - first time I've seen Viney in the front row like that. Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes.
