Craig under scrutiny

Heard on footy show from Barrett that Neil Craig is under scrutiny internally as the club were not 100% happy with his responses when interviewed about the drug issues.

So the rumours continue to persist under Peter Jackson's watch.

If he's supposed to be so good then why do we get leaks like this (assuming that Barrett isn't just blowing smoke out of his you know what).

Again, he didn't say that either, he was thinking out loud............. I can't see that there are real problems, I am not in the Club on a daily basis, are you?......you are basing your sight/opinion on hearsay/rumour/innuendo etc, what I can see is that the players performed very poorly last weekend and hopefully they will be better this weekend, personally I think unfortunately we have a group of players maybe half the team at any time that is severely lacking in confidence, Neeld and Co are trying to rebuild this confidence.....

He did say that 'Sat', that's what thinking out loud is. It's called speaking.

You can keep burying your head in the sand and refusing to see, but guess what? Schwab is gone and changes are being made to way he did business and not before time.

There are to be changes in the FD, I think that is for the better cause it aint working now.

He was a week or so in and he was thinking out loud, but if you want to interpret it that way, feel free

It's not a leak, it is Barrett, which bit don't you get

Yes we will see 'Sat' or is it Pollyanna, no need to interpret just listen to the language.

The man could not be any clearer, we need experienced people at the club and the FD structure needs to be changed so that one person (the head of the FD) reports to the CEO. The CEO is not the manager of the FD although in effect that is what has been happening under the existing structure.

No need to interpret, no foreign language here. Although I do understand your inability to comprehend a straight comment after all the spin we've been fed for a while now.

Barrett will use any excuse to have a dig at us, he's just a [censored], simple as that

Seems he's not on his own in the football media world. Of course, they're all wrong so we should not be worried about anything they say.

Fair enough, but just to point out, when Jackson took over as CEO at Essendon he had no experience in football admin, and had never worked in football. He came from the mining industry.

Not sure what you have been reading, but I will lay london to a brick more arses will be kicked, other than Neeld's, as a result of Jackson's final report.

Agreed. But Jackson has said the football dept structures aren't correct and they are inexperienced. It would appear that Essendon's aren't too flash either but he never said moribund.

I didn't say he did. That was my word, but the import of his message has the same meaning.

..but he did have a guy called Graeme McMahon as president and just a little experience around the club which is what he was talking about.

The post was pointing out to 'Sat' that things will change, Jackson has flagged that when he was "thinking out loud".

I wasn't disagreeing with you. Just adding that experience is only one part of the equation.

Yes but you implied that was what Jackson meant, he said no such thing

It is like me saying on here that some posters have an IQ in the 3 digit range, but forgetting to mention the first 2 are zeroes

What a Footy journo/commentator out of step with the rest? wouldn't last 5 minutes, the only one with any balls is Luke Darcy.

Take a rumour, turn it into a story, sit back and watch it repeated in one form or another and become a fact

Sat, your position that there are no real problems at the club is inconsistent with our results, what PJ said and the significant changes that are inevitably coming.

Under the current model Misson reports to the CEO and Craig.

Craig reports to the CEO and the Senior Coach.

It's hard to say whom the Doc thought he might need to report to from the flow chart.

It appears to me on the outside thet the flow chart is either unconnected or flows in the wrong directions

MFC cannot get anything right What the hell are the board doing? Its not rocket science for experienced boards to get things like structure right!!!!!

The purple headed warrior also said that he spoke with Neeld and Neeld is defiant and is sticking to his 5 year plan.

Neeld said he would be shocked to be sacked!

Head up arse syndrome.

Later comment

he

"didn't see that coming" "perhaps you should ask the players"

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
