Our midfield is shizne because we have three players in it with 3 games to their AFL record. We arent gonna in any games with that lineup as much as I reckon all three are gonna be good value long run.

I'd target Adrian Fletcher at the end of the year. He's had experience at quite a few clubs and has had a long stint with the Lions and has helped re-build their midfield to be a competitive outfit again. I'd like to see what Clark, Hogan and Dawes could do with a midfield on a par with the current Brisbane engine room. Like ours it doesn't possess any big names but they work hard and stick to their structures and win plenty of contested ball. There spread from stoppages has been impressive over the last 12 months. I've heard Fletcher speak at a coaching course and was very very impressed.

If so where do we move him? We've already got Connolly and Viney in sideways roles.

And does anyone at all expect any difference?

I've heard he's going to take over Dr Bate's role

There might be some truth to this.

The following is an excerpt from the article on the official website about strengthening the ties between Casey and MFC.

"On match day, Nichol is also the Casey backline coach and Melbourne forward line development coach Paul Satterley is also the Casey forward line coach. Melbourne midfield coach Aaron Greaves also works closely with Casey midfield coach Steve O’Brien, and provides feedback at games.

Throughout the article, the other MFC assistant/development coaches (ie, Nichol and Satterley) are mentioned as such. Greaves, however, is referred to as the Melbourne midfield coach - not as the assistant midfield coach.

Suspect it's no accident.

If this is true, how long has Greaves been in the role? We certainly showed no signs of structure improvement in the midfield last week. Still horribly disorganised.

It isn't true, it is a BS rumour and people are starting to look like idiots by buying into it.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
