Venom Denim just reported on SEN that Nth Melbourne approached Melbourne wanting to trade a second round pick for Watts.

Apparently the coach was not adverse to the idea, but they ran out of time to get the deal done.

Denim goes further saying Watts is on the outer at Melbourne and may not be there next year.

Personally i think its rubbish that Watts is on the outer, but quite possible that North tried to snare him.

North may have gone for him but I doubt there would have been a trade for a second round. Wouldnt North have tried to package him the Pedo / Gys trade?

Clearly a pile of poo.

At his height and weight needed time and at the age of 21 (22 in March) is going to have a breakout year this year.

More Melbourne stirring.

Melbourne supporters should write to all the companies that advertise on SEN when Denham is on and tell them that we're going to boycott their products until he is removed from the station.

I have it on authority that the club believes Watts will get there so I doubt Denham's comments. Denham HATES the dees. Hates to the point where its personal.

I know someone who used to play golf at the same course as Watts and it used to be a running joke that if he spent as much time on AFL as he did on his golf game he'd be doing ok. But this wasnt a serious comment - just a running joke.

Personally if we lost Watts I wouldnt be really cut up about it. I do rate him and believe that he will get there. I dont see a superstar but I do see potential and flare. But there are players that if we lost id be more worried about. Watts just needs more coffees before a game - get him a bit more excited!

I cant wait to meet this nobody and just give him absolute verbal trashing.

Only problem is ill need to carry around a picture of him because I dont no what the hell he looks like.

I have it on good authority that Denham was going to be traded to Kazakhstan Radio National (KRTastic).

They love the stuff that comes out of his mouth because they can sell it to their farmers. SEN were prepared to accept a partly digested egg-roll. Win-win!

Carlton inquired and we said hands-off. It went no further.

I think the reason why these journalistic hacks tend to [censored] us (though some of it is deserved) and ignore the 'power clubs' is yet again a question of access. Let's take Collingwood for example. There are rumors that one of their biggest players is running off the rails and one of their younger players has been done for assault. Eddie McGuire is the head of that organization and theoretically, some of the blame should sit with him. Would Denham or Caro ever suggest that? No, because they know that Eddie knows how the media game is played and while some people take a shot at him occasionally over his ego, they will never go in as hard as they do against us or the Roos. In the bigger scheme of things, we are irrelevant when compared to Collingwood. Only when the poo really hits the fan will they roast them as they really have no other recourse. When it is a slow news day, we cop the short end of the stick.

I think Frawley, McDonald, Watts could be the best tall back combo going around in a couple of years.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
