Well, that's just [censored] great, another [censored] leak. Who else does she leak info to?

This place exists for fans to discuss our team and everyone should be encouraged to participate but I've looked back at her posts and they are negative towards the club. I question her motivation and the reasons for her actions. I'd like to know who she hates at the club to put her posts into perspective

Of all the comments that have been made about my posts this is the furthest off the mark. I don't work at the club, don't hate anyone at the club. My motive for posting is to share the info with the rest of you.

As for the negative posts, they're not a hidden clue to my plot to bring down the club.

It's a forum - people give their opinions. And my opinion is we've been an ordinary side for a long time. I'll put my hand up for criticizing Jack Watts, which he deserves, and for saying James Frawley has turned into a lair, which he has. If you don't agree, no worries, but to suggest my posts are part of a long term plan to destabilise the club - you're reading way too much into it.

I've got no motive for posting other than to share the info with the rest of you. Do you really think I'd post on here with the grand plan of bringing down the club via some posts on a fan forum?

As for the negative posts - it's a forum - people give their opinions. And my opinion is we've been an ordinary side for a long time. I can't remember all my posts specifically but will put my hand up for criticizing Jack Watts, which he deserves, and for saying James Frawley has turned into a lair.

Again with the negative comments. I can't remember exactly what they were but will put my hand up for criticising Jack Watts

Just remember, deegirl. If you think the club is in trouble, are stating the facts as you have heard them without bias or you think that certain club officials deserve a kick in the pants, it's patently obvious that you hate the MFC. You deserve a full tar and feathering followed by the mandatory departure from whatever town you live in by rail (and I don't mean taking the train).

If I posted more regularly I'd be familiar with this stuff but the above sounds like a threat. Moderators maybe you could enlighten me?

And yes, it is patently obvious I hate the MFC- hate them so much I've been a member for over 25 years and have turned up to watch them week in and week out.

I'd say that was tongue in cheek and in no way a threat.

It seemed to me he was having a go at others not you.

Hearing rumours that the AFL will officially charge the club, Connolly, Bailey & Schwab with tanking. Don't shoot the messanger but my sources are usually pretty good.

As far as I can determine, nobody's been "officially charged" with anything, merely a brief of evidence presented to MFC lawyers. My money's on MFC lawyers having a field day with this one.

The absolute worst outcome from the AFL's perspective is surely for this to get outside the football domain and into the courts. It can only end with the AFL on trial, imo. And Carlton (Kreuzer cup) and others including Richmond will likely be collateral damage.

I suspect that if you posted more regularly you'd know that this place is full of whiny spoilt children who take offence at the drop of a hat and launch into ridiculous tirades and attacks at people who dare to disagree with them. Fortunately there are also people who are able to carry on an adult conversation without screaming abuse at each other, so if you simply skim past the ten-year-olds, you can find some useful and interesting information about the club.

Back on point - Prenderfarce and some other git in that meeting attempting to bring down CS or CC are damaging the club and people's lives in the process. Including a coach that I am sure they are using as an excuse to 'tell the truth' because they 'felt for Bailey and the situation he was placed in.'

Feel sorry for a bloke by endangering his livelihood. Amazing...

Does Fan have any idea who the second git is from that meeting?

(Someone might have to reply to this as Fan has me on ignore i think for some half-cooked reason)

Deegirl, you shouldn't feel intimidated about sharing information on here. The concern is more with the fact that some sensitive stuff is still being leaked from the club which many thought was a feature of past administrations.

Whoever gave you the info only got it half right because the club hasn't been charged at all. It's only that the investigation seems to have uncovered a few disgruntled finger pointers who left the club in less than amicable circumstances which allows certain inferences to be drawn about the value of their evidence.

The other thing about this matter is the AFL has chosen to give the MFC and other parties the opportunity to respond before a decision is made as to whether charges are laid. This is important because it will demonstrate to the AFL that the club has some very strong points of defence. I sense this would not have occurred under Adrian Anderson's watch and perhaps this is why he's gawn.

So deegirl. Thanks for enlightening us with your post. It's paved the way for plenty of optimism if only we read between the lines and resist shooting the messenger.

Today's Hun article on tanking (part of season highlights article) seems to be watering down the investigation.

Claims the AFL are backtracking to a position of no case to answer.

There's a definite feeling coming from the press that the AFL wants to whitewash this.

The Age don't care any more. they're becoming a tabloid and joining the gutter press.

Kero will just find another different angle to attack Schwabby. She won't be satisfied until she destroys him.

Sometimes dc you do not have to do anything.

They do it to themselves if you have enough patience.

Warwick Green's conclusion:

" it seemed extraordinary that in the very season it changed the system the AFL would choose to poke at an old wound by asking its integrity department to examine how Melbourne performed three years ago.

The AFL may have painted itself into a corner. Is it time to broaden the investigation?

You suspect the only way the AFL can extract itself is to say it thoroughly scrutinised the Demons and found no damning evidence. "

Once a Saint, always a Saint.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

    WELCOME 2024 by Meggs

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. The Matildas have been playing to record sell-out crowds across Australia and ‘Mary Fowler is God’ is chalked onto footpaths everywhere. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol

    EPILOGUE by Whispering Jack

I sit huddled in near darkness, the only light coming through flickering embers in a damp fireplace, the room in total silence after the thunderstorm died. I wonder if they bothered to restart the game.  No point really. It was over before it started. The team’s five star generals in defence and midfield ruled out of the fray, a few others missing in action against superior enemy firepower and too few left to fly the flag for the field marshal defiantly leading his outnumbered army int
