what did neeld say?

journalists are a level below politicians. and thats pretty low - they feed off the utter garbage that the politicians spew out.

or am i just being cynical?

Nothings lower than a politician, especially the lady in power at the moment.

really..How interesting. Maybe the Beaks have given the club the green light.

The cone of silence is lifting...?

"I've got more information out of reading the back page of The Age than what I have talking to anyone here," he said.

"I'm sure that information is spot on, so we'll just wait for the next article.

"(Age reporter Caroline Wilson) knows more about it than I do, which is fine, that's her job. She knows more people in there than what I do."

I think it was a set up for sure and have said so previously. They've only been spinning out the Brock was a sub stuff recently, funny about that. There was no mention of it at all at the time or in the weeks after, it seems they are covering themselves.

It was definitely a set up in my opinion, driven by Gerard Healy and clapped on by Sheahan and Roos. Anyone unsure of Gerard's agenda need just go and sift through his articles on the Demons on the Fox Sports website. He's totally got it in for the club ... or more accurately key personnel controlling the club.

It's a point of interest that his brother Greg works at the the MFC in an official role.

a big wack without laying a punch. Well said Mark.

We may well be over the worst of this sordid chapter...Don't break now MFC. I have been most impressed with the last 2 months. We have been on the front foot. Not that the journalists wish to acknowledge that. Flanagan aside of course...

The sweetest day of all will come when the two players we've more or less snagged out of the Scully priority compo - Toumpas and Hogan - cut the opposition to shreds in a grand final.

Imagine the look on her face if it was against Richmond.

Good move mods on the deleting posts front. As BH pointed out silly of me to give stuff airtime by commenting. In that post BH said something that made me chuckle though, something along the lines of 'íf i was a moderator'

Whoa neddy that would be something: big, bad, bustling Ben laying down the law in D town. I can just see a post along the lines of:

'Whilst i respect your right to an opinion i have to say you're opinion is not right. In fact i doubt i have read a more moronic post and it really reflects your lack of football acumen and knowledge. So i'm going to delete it and give you a warning - any more like that and you're banned for 12 months. Got a problem with that. Tough. I'm BH and you're not'

you are not familiar with The Rack?

It was a very effective form of torture during the olden days. Look it up on google. I am sure it will be there in all its glory...

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
