yeah the old adage about deck chairs and a famous boat comes to mind here. Not sure if they offer anything that the likes of Sellar, Jetta and co dont offer us already

They were delisted for a reason.

Not good enough, injury plagued, bad attitude.

That rings alarm bells with me.

We have had too many players over the years with these outstanding attributes.

I went with Hawksley.

Good run and carry half back flanker who's a pretty good kick so ticks a few boxes for us.

I woud have gone with Sherman but I don't think he can be signed as a delisted free agent as he's walked (although mutual) out of his contract. I think he has to go into the draft. But I could be wrong.

I rarely see Port play but when I have, Surjan seems to have a real crack & appears to be an on field leader. Not sure why he's got the lemonade although I think he cops his fair share of injuries.

I've read we've shown interest in Ben Warren. That is almost my Ben-Hurian tipping point. I would rather drive across the Nullarbor & bring back Cale, telling him all is forgiven, than to see Warren in the red & blue.

I think we need a "none of the above" option

Can the mods please add the new delisted players

Pretty certain the poll is maxed out at 20. And while mods may want to think they are all-powerful, unless they can code I would say that that is the end of the story.

Why don't you alter it? And have one for 25 and older and another for 24 and under.

And enable multiple selections.

Weedon is a real talent, must be NQR If the eagles delisted him.

Sorry Weedon is average (that is being generous) and lacks any application, hunger or will to get to a contest. Hawklsey who others have suggested has on my mail apparently agreed to terms with Peel Thunder to play in the WAFL next season

If Hawksley is out and so is Sherman as I suspect he has to go through the draft, then I'd be looking at either Cheynee Stiller or Jeromey Webberly.

If you haven't guessed I'm looking at running half back flank defenders who can run & carry.

While I don't mind Surjan I'm not as sure on his kicking and ability to spread as much as Stiller's or Webberly's.

Michael Osborne?

Hawthorn say they are committed to helping [Osborne] through his rehab from an ACL injury he sustained in Round 7 against Melbourne this year. He will continue to train with the main group in the aim of the club re-drafting him in the pre-season draft.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
