I don't keer how many wins we get just as long as we but in 100% every week and dont loose by 100 Points any more.

I hate the fact that everyone thinks richmond are a head of us now because of 1 bad season.

Still had the same list as 2011.

Posted

Lets think for a second, we have the same list a 2011 but why did we go so backwards in 2012?

1.We lost scully

2. Jarra gets done for assault charges

3. Our hart and sole Jimmy past away.

4. We loose the teams biggest sponsor in history.

5. We have a new coaching team and game plan which is completely defensive.

6. Neeld gets done for racist comments to players.

7. We have a extra pick In the draft and we need to be in the right position so there aren't as meany teams to nominate Viney so we don't have to use our first pick on him.

That is a lot of [censored] for 1 club to go through in one season no.

Name another club that went through that much speculation this season?

I honestly think we are going to see a different MFC in 2013 and we will be knocking on the top 8.

If the list doesn't dramatically change then expect more of the same

I can only assume you're referring to me...

....

Nope, the post by "poita" immediately preceding my post, where he said "Barring a draft windfall, I expect us to finish bottom 2 next year."

Do we expect draftees to make such a difference so soon?

Especially considering Viney's acquisition is a given, making it hardly a "windfall".

Need did not "get done" for racist comments. He was accused and then apologised to because the accusations were false. HUGE difference.

2013 to me is about respect, not necessarily wins or losses. Of course in the best of all possible worlds I want us to smash everyone and win the flag but from where we're coming from I just want us to be able to say we left nothing out on the field after each game and that every team we play knows they just played a game of professional football out there.

There are other individual things I'd like to see from certain players and the team but overall I just want us to play a hard and competitive brand of footy every single contest every single time we step out on to the field.

Lot will depend on how Gold Coast and GWS come on. Last is a distinct possibility. There will be not much improvement. This year we started badly and finished worse. The trolls of Demonland will come down on me but have to say straight out the Coach is a worry. IMO he's wrecked what was a promising young list. He seems listless and his addresses to players resemble a Teacher laying down the law to a pack of naughty children who aren't listening.

Prediction 13th if Clark stays on the Park.

Bring back Denis Jones.

Dr. Gonzo=corrrect Sir not much respect to be gained from losing every week. I think we should aim to be the hardest team to play against. As you say not necessary to win to gain respect. Quite happy to be Zip and 11 and the halfway mark. So long as we are respected. Good call Gonzo.

Obviously the wins will come after the team starts to play better footy.

Havent seen you so negative before TPM.

I hope you are wrong. I am still uncertain about the coach also but willing to give him the time he has had to get to know, and get to be known by, players.

There have certainly been some positive statements by players staying and leaving.

There are no doubt some discontented players.

MY hope is that Neeld is not a one trick pony. That he can adapt. That he doesnt alienate potential and does develop what we have rather than just discarding and replacing.

A lot will depend on trades and draft but hopefully to complement and complete rather than start anew.

Sorry, I don't think that labelling someone as racist when they aren't is "mina"

Sorry, I didn't wasn't meant to write "getting done" it was meant to be "getting accused"

Either way there was a lot of off field speculations which would have been a destruction.

2013 For me is..

A draft Class of Viney, Wines, Grundy and Kennedy.

Toy,Caddy,Byrnes, Stevens, Russell and Lynch picked up via trades/fa

Finish between 8-10 on the ladder

Beat Collingwood on Queens Birthday

AND to [censored] all over Carlscum and have dunny run from the back half of the ground Matty Lloyd style and clean up McLean!

I believe we could potentially go to 9th position next year, if we get a couple of crumbing forwards who can kick goals, a couple of half decent midfielders and we cut down our turnovers in the backline by 70%. I expect that some of the sides above us will also be going backwards while we go forward next year.

I loved yesterdays game, but it also made me very angry.

To think a match of that incredible standard was played on our home ground whilst we finished 16th.

Mike Pyke has a Premiership Medallion FFS. He grew up playing rugby in canada.

The skill level of our playing list is deplorable.

Can you ever imagine The Swans allowing 186 to happen??

And people wonder why i get mad at this spineless club i love.

Yes i am paid up for 2013. So i am allowed!!!

Make no mistake - our 2013 season starts in the free agency and trade period. Drafting as well. We need to undo a lot of mistakes or miscalculations and neeld will know he needs to get this very right or risk his coaching future.

that sounds like the first 6 or so matches.

Some players saw the light & bought in, after the supporter base bought into change to right the ship. supporting MNeeld & the choice of change.

We will change this Non Culture.

Once changed, we will learn how to be Winners.

You are always allowed wyl, well in my book you are.

I really enjoyed yesterday.

It was good to watch a GF and not really care who won.

I thought I enjoyed it way more that a lot in recent times.

Back to the Dees

I think Spineless is a little rough, I have no doubt they everyone at the MFC in 2012 wanted to win badly.

The problem as I see it is we are trying to undo a decade of poor drafting, poor administration and lack of funds.

That is not going to be achieved in five minutes.

I do think we have a poor list and thai it will take a number of years to correct.

Unfortunately we are at the end of year one in a multi year plan.

2013 and 2014 are going to be very hard going.

I hope the Administration and fans have the fortitude to go the distance.

and who recruited this poor list OD?

It's time the club took responsibility for shoddy work. That you & i pay for.

The administration is safe till the end of 2013 IMO

While the majority have been around for the four years their bold moves at the end of 2012 have gained them a little time.

However another year like 2012 in 2013 will see the wolves baying for blood.

The biggest problem wyl is do we actually have any alternatives at board level?

I don't expect miracles but enough of the games that are over at quarter time.

In 2013 I want 6 wins against sides above us and only a couple of 10+ goal losses.

That is the best I can see in 2013 but I have little confidence it will be achieved.

2-4 wins with a whole lot of meltdowns on this forum with at least 93 topics of sacking Neeld and 1,046 threads on Jack Watts.

The first one I can handle, two and three I am already struggling with.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
