An off-ish night don't change the stats fellas.

ol' "Tiptoe" Watts is not fit to clean NicNat's jockstrap.

Wins 78% of possessions from a contest. No.1 in comp. GTFO of H.

What's his disposal efficiency again RR? Lol... If you're gonna use stats for your argument be prepared to cop the negatives one too.

How soon does your Weagles membership arrive BTW?

Looks like NicNat has increased his lead over Watts, who can still only manage 59 out of 172 votes cast. Very disappointing.

NikNat only managed 68 mate, hardly convincing, especially give one has been injured while the other is in a top 4 side...

Just settle back into reality mate, NikNat will become an amazing player, no doubt, but he's not there yet, and Watts is well on the way to becoming a very good player but perhaps not in the role we would have thought. That's the simple, non dreadlocked truth. No sensationalism. Just plain truth.

I hope you voted for NicNat then because it's clear you rate him higher. Some rare good judgement from you.

Nope, I voted not sure, because it's too early to tell and there's too many things that are extenuating factors.

For the record, rating NicNat higher does not mean that we got the call wrong, which is what you asked in your poll. Whether we made the right call on draft day has to be judged on many factors, only one of which is the relative ability of the two players. I maintain that we made the right call for the club, and even if Watts is never going to be another Buddy Franklin, he is going to be a valuable player.

You are an absolute moron, and every time you've posted in this abomination of a thread, you've reinforced that.

Referring your anger at the poll result towards me is very weak on your part. But I've come to expect that from you Mr. Anus.

I have no anger at all about your poll's result. For one, it's flawed, because you let people pick multiple answers (something to which you have no defence). For another, it's merely reflecting the sheer pessimism of this board. Most importantly, people with half a brain haven't bothered voting because you made the poll, and because there's nothing at all to be gained from entering this debate. Naitanui is over-rated, your stats are selective and don't reflect his overall game, and he gets to play for a top 4 side, not a bottom 4 side.

And it's Mr Uranus, to you.

I'm sorry RMax. Reason and logic are not permitted on this thread. Mods, issue a warning to this poster please! Not enough ridiculous content.

Where is the stat he was a 99% chance to go home & 100% chance that West coke Eagles and the Fremantle Bumers would have offered him 1/2 of Perth to get him home. And we would have had 0% chance in keeping him. 100% chance we would have been forced to the draft table without a leg to stand on.

WTF are those stats.

NicNat named in 40-man All-Australian squad.

Ouch ... that hurts.

It does hurt.... The credibility of the selectors... I haven't heard a single person (outside RR I assume) who thinks he deserved to be in the squad this year.

How is this even a question? Natanui has just single handedly given the Eagles a 5 goal lead in the first 15 minutes against the Roos. He's going to be the best player in the comp

No need to whisper-we know NicNat is good but JW is good too .

I was watching the game today and wondered how long before this was raised again.

So NikNat is playing in finals ina very good team, and Jack is doing neither.

And NikNat is playing in WA where he may well be even were he picked by us.

He didn't want to leave WA. He didn't want to leave WA. He didn't want to leave WA. He didn't want to leave WA.

Repeat it to yourself 1000 times until you understand.

Yep here we go again...

If we had picked him, the same posters would now be groaning that he went back to WA after a few indifferent and occasionally promising seasons, just as he was becoming a star. Pick him no 1 or not. Talk about a lose lose situation.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
