It seems like everyone has been happy with the recruitment of Mitch Clark and he has demonstrated all the skills both hard and soft that we want to see when on the ground and with his team mates.

Which makes me curious, I don't believe the whole 'go back home' story of when he was traded, yet I can't see why he wouldn't have fitted in with blokes like Voss and Brown. Not that I mind I like everyone (i think) has been rapt with him being a Demon.

Was there some resentment between him and Brown over the cheek fracture? Two bulls in a paddock sort of competition that neither could back away from?

Anyone have any idea on this?

Pure speculation - like so many other posts. I know the footy is all over (for us) but jeez!

Both very relaxed, affable guys. Don't think they have a problem.

On a slight side note, perhaps we could have had both of them if McNamee had got his way with swapping Brown for Melb's no1 2008 draft pick.

Ha ha ha! Brown for a No.1 draft pick? And a number 14, and a reasonable player, and a 1.2 million per year contract at least...

Maybe Mitch Clark saw the writing on the wall and really, really dislikes Campbell Newman?

No problems between the players, genuinely wanted to go home. Source: Patrick Karnezis, 2nd year Brisbane player who I asked after the season if Clark would go to Freo and he said 'for sure!'

brisbane gave us Clark, Joel Mac, and Grimes - cannot thank them enough

And took trapper off our hands.....

Edit - only half in jest... I liked TJ, if only he learnt to apply himself. Hopefully our other #1 pick does as well :)

So the opinion of a second year BL player was relevant? And he didn't go home at all.

Why wouldn't it be relevant? Mitch Clark's family convinced him that more money would be better for the family than returning to WA, so he took the cash.

in the end he and his manager came to the conclusion that Freo and Brisbane were unlikely to agree on a trade. His choices were to stay in Brisbane, risk going to GWS in PSD. Dees ability to satisfy Brisbane with a trade gave him certainty.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
