What Happens if Gold Coast beats us?

Featured Replies

What happens if we lose?

Half of D'Land gets what they want - an opportunity to kick the [censored] out of the coach, the players, the administration and anyone else that might be in the vicinity.

If we win?

They just wait a week for another opportunity to kick us.

It's amazing how five agenda-driven posters can fluff themselves up to appear as "Half of D'Land".

The 175 - 5 poll in Neeld's favour proves overwhelmingly that this isn't the case.

Win, lose or draw for the rest of the season, there is no pressure on Mark Neeld.

Hopefully the mods won't tolerate much more of this ridiculous bashing of our senior coach, which is ruining the enjoyment of the site for many.

Perhaps we should bring Mitch, Jurrah, Davey etc back into the team complete with crutches ....

that way we can't be accused of tanking.... or can we??

You are a fool.

We'd get lots of publicity. Isn't any publicity good publicity?

We ask the ALF for a priority pick?

we win by 56 points

If we lose we dont get the 4 pts. or has that also been adjusted during the week, with another AFL knee jerk change to the rules. A draw would be an interesting result.

The coach will say something like; "Not making any excuses and GCS played well but the distractions of the past week have not been welcome". Distractions every other week are all too common for us these days.

So true...the MFC love excuses.

The five 'agenda driven' posters will have a field day.

You are a fool.

You have made Demonland incredibly difficult to read.

Nothing will happen as nothing will have changed.

As always one loss or one win in isolation mean nothing at all.

I don't think you really believe that Nasher

When you're [censored] and the season is over, yes.

One thing Neeldy won't be able to blame this time is the opposition's "slick ball movement".

Hey I've just realized what happens if Gold Coast win. It's been wracking my brain all day but I finally got it.

They get four premiership points and we don't.

There ... riddle solved!

Gold Coast aren't that bad, nothing happens.

Ablett Jr gives any side a chance to win, the kid is that good.

On form, we probably wont win.

I posted this the other day, I have since changed my stance.

Internally within our club - nothing happens.

Externally within the league - the smear campaign on our club will get stronger,

calls of tanking in 2012 will gather momentum and from there on out, we will be kicked into the teeth up until 2013.

I normally hate this kind of theory, but i'm tired, so....

The Suns beat Richmond a few weeks ago and Richmond beat us by an average of 41 the season... So by my calculation it shouldn't be such a big deal if we lose on the weekend (the way we're going).

We Win = Scarf flaps outside car window down the Tulla on the way home, i log into Demonland, read the reviews and the forums, watch post match interviews and press on DeeTV, watch the replay during the week, read Superfooty and Realfooty then keep logging into Demonland throughout the week.

We Lose = All of the above except the scarf.

It will not be a surprise AD but it sure will be a giant kick in the Guts.

In 2012 after five years of a rebuild and numerous high draft picks we should be beating the GCS by 10 goals

We win = 4 points and several players who will not be at the club next year.

We lose= 0 points and several players who will not be at the club next year.

Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
