Definitely Ground Hog Day, Fix those with injuries, play the lower order, see if there is any thing there at all

Go Dees, good move

Jeez, they could have waited till tomorrow (Friday the 13th) to make the announcement!!!

Thank god we are not playing tomorrow the MCG would probably have an earthquake at 7pm destroying only the MFC dressing rooms

Another stress fracture?

Did Neeld work them too hard over the pre-season?

Geez, lucky we are not playing for a top 4 place

Lucky he's not exactly had it on a string this year either...

Seems players being pushed in the pre season is biting us a bit but it's a fine line you play with trying to obtain elite fitness tough luck flash.

We have to be the most unlucky team in the comp....this is a joke. 2012 the year from hell

It's not that unlucky with our fitness regime being ramped up the same has happened to the bombers. In the end it is all for the greater good I suppose.

And this is the perfect season for it to happen. From here, the number of wins is cosmetic. If they need to be rested, operated on or retrained then now is the perfect time. Finishing bottom three won't be 'tanking' but the result of what happened this year.

Get well soon, Flash, and refind your magic.

Our VFL partner is being belted again. Probably no MFC players left by finals time.

begs the question doesnt it........

lets see who thinking what Im thinking !!

As in ... has Flash finally done his Dash?

give the man a cigar !! ;(

Not of much consequence at this point.

There'll never be a season like this again, surely.

I guess it doesn't really matter at this stage of this nightmare season, but WTH is going on?

Some have suggested that it may be "overtraining" but most of the injuries have been out of the blue.

I guess it will all give opportunities four others but what a revolting run of injuries we have had.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
