This club goes round in circles even when it tries....It seems it is too much for a first time coach to straiten up...

Mark Neeld may well be the man, but he needs serious assistance....our players are clueless against opposition.

They will hang their hat on this and yet we have played so woefully. A 23 point loss that should have been more like 80 points.

The umpiring today was a disgrace how tf could an umpire award a 50m penalty and jog 15m only before setting the mark. FFS he was 5m from the 50m line. Its not that hard.

Our skills were deplorable. Not being able to hit a target from 20m simply means you should be delisted. That would decimate our list,

Then we could start again.

Lucky Richmond were playing the dees or the turmoil of the week and the poor goal kicking might have had implications...

Just struggle to care about footy anymore.

Been waiting for the moment when it all "clicks", or at least some sign of learning, but nothing has happened...

It's been 15 rounds and we look worse than when we started.

Our structures are fine, we lost today basic of basic skill errors. Poor kicking and decision making. It's [censored] heartbreaking.

Ummmmmm what?! Dunn in the backline and Rivers in the forward line was fine was it?

Bad call Jarka.

so what have we been doing for 5 years FFS...send these choirboys to the Kokoda trail with rationed water & see if they get mentally strong....35,403 members have been conned by this spineless organization.

it is almost comedy...but i am over it....Jack Trengove second best player in Australia 2009..? Utter Crap

Completely agree.

Our incompetence with our disposal was matched only by the attrocious standard of umpiring on the day.

Hate losing to Richmond.

I think using defenders in the forward line on occasion might be warranted but rivers is being wasted in there today. So structures are confusing, but yes skills - kicking and choices were very poor.

Posted

Think differently; you'll feel better.

We're not trying to do it, but without Clark we have zero chance in hell of kicking a winning score.

And with three first-round picks beckoning, why care about it?

I'll take a win if it comes our way; but a loss won't hurt.

Disposal, disposal, disposal. We could not kick over a jam tin. Sometimes we worked really well to set up the movement......then we just missed a 20m kick to space. So bloody sad. Don't know how to keep positive. Finishing last is not out of the question, and that woul deliver potentially the three best players in the draft and pick 12. has it come to this....

No, I just understand our problems more. Who have we got to play as a key forward with Clark out? Dunn has never played that KPF role, ever. We don't have anyone else in the team apart from Rivers and Garland, time and time again I saw both of them work hard and make great leads, only to see the ball fly over their heads. Poor delivery into the forward line.

Dunn was back there because we lost McDonald and Sellar, I agree he was ordinary but we really didn't have a choice.

We lost this game because of turnovers.

No. No. No.

How many clearances and inside 50s does Clark average? I would say 0, maybe 1. Sure it hurts not having Clark, but we were smashed in the middle and in defence, so it doesn't even come into consideration.

And as for that second part of your post..... You really think a loss won't hurt? Do you even read demonland? Do you think as a club we have a good image? Respect?

Ummmm what?! Dunn has played as a KPF HEAPS of times! And the choice was to put Rivers (our best defender this year) into DEFENCE rather than into unknown territory.

I don't think you understand our problems at all.

That was totally depressing. We should've lost by 10 goals and Richmond weren't playing very good footy. I don't even have an opinion on what we're doing wrong - just amateurish mistakes. They were saying on the Telly that shitmond haven't won a match with 7 changes in 40 years and they then flogged us.

The umpires today need a year in the magoos. Terrible decisions. It was a rotten day all round. I'm starting to hate watching my own team play. Sad.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
