I know what it wasn't - a free kick.

Good luck Tom, hope you're ok.

I can't wait for this season to end.

It seem that anything that looks good just breaks!!

Speedy recovery Tom.

Well hopefully recovers well and hes fit to go for the preseason. Back into the fray for 2013. A decent uncovering of talent in Tom. Needs judicious polishing but the ability is there.

Good luck Tom

Any doctors in the house that can tell us the sort of recovery time for this injury?

He's gonna be fit to take on Reiwoldt this week, right?

anywhere between 6 weeks to 3 months depending on the injury. He was attended to quickly and that will minimise the injury.

k-i-m..... recovery isnt the same as fully fit

Id suspect him to be back at the office doing light sessions in 2 months.

Depends on detail.....may be only a matter of week(s).

Surely Frawley would go to Riewoldt as usual anyway, wouldn't he?

Regardless of the fact that he would be handy, Tom wouldn't really be matching up on an influential key forward this week anyway would he? Am I forgetting anybody from the Tiges that can change a game from CHF? (Other than Miller of course). Frawley to show the AFL world how over-rated JR is as usual. Smaller defenders chasing, harassing and hopefully smashing their running/small forwards.

Tom's likely direct opponent would have been...........?

Don't think he'd be travelling back by car if he had a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) requiring a chest tube, or if he had a significant haemothorax (bleeding around the lung) requiring a chest tube. Sometimes the air or blood can be aspirated (drawn out into a syringe) and a tube isn't required. The report in the paper talks of "suspected" collapsed lung - we don't know what the condition is, really...

I have asked, and because they are travelling down inland NSW on the Newell Hwy have also asked whether either Tom or Craig Lees who is doing the driving have ever seen the film "Deliverance"

I'm not a doctor Jaded but I've heard that it's not as bad as first thought. A week or two perhaps.

In the meantime, Troy Davis was on the verge of selection a couple of weeks ago and, though his form has lapsed a bit at Casey, I think it's time for him to get a run.

Yep 1-2 weeks according to this http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/7415/newsid/140214/default.aspx

Meanwhile, WTF does the club insist on treating us like morons?

We all know Jurrah is not permanently 2-4 weeks away with what was a twisted ankle of some sort. Bloody Mitch Clark will be back sooner at this rate.

Just admit he won't be available until after the hearing.

You may not be right with this.

It seems whenever Jurrah gets injured it takes him twice as long as most to recover.

Also I do not understand why the FD would consider the NT thing a reason to leave him out.

Can you explain why please?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
