"One swallow does not make a [censored]."

I guessing, but I reckon NM and GC would attest to that.

Big words that mean nothing. Its about as meaningful as Shinboner spirit.

My 12yo said we have won the last 2 against the Bombers so we own them!

Figure of speech Rhino, re:"North owning us".

But you have to agree that North have totally dominated us over the past 6 years. If there is one game I'd mark as an automatic loss in the run home, it's North. I'm actually more confident in beating Adelaide than I am North.

It isnt just a figure of speech when you are trying to imply the past six years will result an outcome going forward. I dont see the connection. I wooried about the here and now.

You are being incredibly pedantic. How is Hawthorn going against Geelong?

Utterly ridiculous thread.

We are in no position to be claiming any wins.

After Monday, I expect Demonland to return to its regular tone.

well nobody is claiming a win on Monday are they? IF they put in like they did last week and go down fighting against the flag favourites by 3-4 goals it won't change anything about this thread, there will still be 7+ wins for the taking

on the other hand we could go back to an effort like when we played Sydney then of course youll be correct

This is so unlike Demonland to be so optimistic can we suspend this until Monday night, and I'll gladly take it either way Monday night, ....no [censored] or swallow jokes now please!

GWS x2, GC, Frem, Adel, NM, and St K are winnable.

Richmond, Freo over there, PA, and Lions up there might be a bit too hard with the contested style we play.

I prefer these threads talking about how many games we are going to win as opposed to what draft pick selections are we going to get.

No idea how many we will win but anything above 6 would be fantastic given our start.

Anything above 3 would be fantastic given our start!

Win the next 12. Make Finals. Win them, Kick Ass. YEAH!!!

Is it 1987 WYL would love a trip back to that fairytale ride, but just want to see 4 quarter efforts for the rest of the season do that and we will win another 5-7 games.

Yes another 1987 ride before i get old and useless would be superb!! With a better ending of course...It is possible.

Q.B. awaits...

Don't think Adelaide is winnable. Despite it being here, they're a really good side this year. Don't think we can knock them off.

NM and St K are 'winnable', but we all know how badly we play against NM, and by the time we get to St K again, they'll probably be fighting for their finals spot and might have a bit too much to play for.

I think this year is an extended pre-season for 2013. Nevertheless, unlike other years, I really do care about this particular pre-season competition.

Nevertheless, I doubt we'll win more than another 4 - and even that might be a stretch.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
