Dangerfields game last week was absolutely amazing, loved every minute of it.

Can't go pass Gaz though, just seems impossible to tackle and has unbelievable skills.

The player who gives me the most adrenaline however is our own Joel MacDonald. Everytime he gets the ball I'm on the edge of my seat wondering what the hell he is going to do this time (rarely in a good way)

Haha I was wondering if you watched the same Joel MacDonald that I do, then I read the end of you post!

Paul Chapman. Tough, uncompromising and brilliant. Love to have him in our side. Goal sense is fantastic. Ablett and Judd also great to watch.

P.S. Just read that Chapman played with Melbourne reserves before he was drafted in 1999. A big fish who got away. We had him and let him go.

Wow...would have loved to have him on the Dees. He's a type of player we could really use.

I chose Rioli because when he is on song his skills are mercurial to say the least. Others I would add are Eddie Betts who is the consummate entertainer and Robert Murphy who makes everything look so effortless.

If I were to add Eddie Betts I'd have to add his shorts as well. They are part of the reason he's so good to watch. When he's coming down from a hanger it looks like he's deployed a parachute from just below his waistline.

Stevie J . Not the best , but the best to watch IMO . Amazing the amount of times a goal seems to happen when he gets it .

He's a free agent too !

2 , 3 or 4 years of Johnno would be worth a truckload more than 1 or 2 years of many on our list right now .

Hard to pick from such a variety, but our current circumstance inspired me to pick J.Brown.

Big, tough, skilled, and a firm leader who is not easily unsettled and inspires his teammates with his actions.

If we're talking all-time however I may have picked a (kind of) MFC player, Byron Pickett, although in his prime at the Roos not the last couple of years with us.

I agree, Macca. Would love to see Johnson in red and blue. I think we're more likely to win the premiership this year than to see that happen, though.

Well , we could make him an offer . Ya don't ask , ya don't get . I reckon a few clubs will come calling on Stevie J . He's a matchwinner . Have we got anyone like Marlon down at the club ?

Judd, Ablett, Lenny Hayes are all guns, but Bartel by a mile for mine. He is so deceiving: he looks slow, small, has a friendly face, and most of his kicks barely reavel 40m. But whenever the game needs to be won there he is outmarking bigger blokes, crunching packs, tacling, kicking goals from outside 50 etc... Absolute match winner and rarely plays poorly.

i love to watch *hangs head*.....

steven milne.

absolute machine.

next is;

chappy. gun

after that is judd busting away from packs

ablett just seems to get his own ball and has gotten better since the g17 has taken control. he seems to have to get 5x as many hard ball gets.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
