When correcting someone get it right. Your'e going to embarrass yourself if you get it wrong. Perhaps I'm wrong and his 8 writes and he is trying to emulate it.

You really have this much time? I wasn't correcting his spelling, simply his ability to construct a sentence and argument. Further, I was also referring to his inability to read an entire post before making a comment based on something he read incorrectly.

Anyway this is a Jack Watts thread isn't it?

glad we cleared that up :/.
What is it about jacks game on the weekend that people didn't like?

he tackled, he chased to apply pressure, even when it was unlikely he would actually catch them.

He kicked a few goals, displayed some skills through traffic.

I thought he was good.

I hope he can continue to build.

For all those Jack Watts haters, look at the footy wire link. If you think the comparison is unfair because it is based on stats go cry somewhere else.

Supercoach AFL Fantasy Jack is in front. And they want to offer the dreadlocks over a million a year! And Jack signed on with us for much less. We won big time.

Get off Jacks back, and learn to appreciate what a rare gem we have. And Watts will continue to improve.

A bit of a silly comparison, given they play quite different roles, but I'll take it.

Seriously, the spud averages 1.1 marks a game. 200cm tall, no marks. What a flop.

What I don't understand is why all the other number one draft picks don't get this pressure? You never hear David Swallow, Tom Scully or Lachie Whitfield referred to as "number one draft pick". It's as if there has only been one draft in the past decade, bizarre.

At a pinch, because those three are all non-Victorian players.

Swallow's also having a good year, whilst Whitfield is progressing OK in a side that should be better.

Scully, though, knew what he was doing when he took the money and ran - get away from the media and away from the spotlight so that if the form didn't return, which it hasn't, no one would care.

When correcting someone get it right. Your'e going to embarrass yourself if you get it wrong. Perhaps I'm wrong and his 8 writes and he is trying to emulate it.

The irony is so, so good.

just some find the need to stick boots into easy targets, we don't know who they are and probably never will, all this obseesion with Watts is just so frickin' passe', boring, tiresome and unwarranted

I was quite impressed with his efforts. There were a couple of moments in the middle of the game where he was the old JW we love to hate but when the game was there to be won he was the JW we always hoped for.

He's always had talent. We've all seen moments of it, but he never looked like he cared about wearing the jumper. I'll go on record as saying that I wanted him to leave last year. I figured whatever we got for him would have been a win. But Roos thought differently. He saw a talented player that just needed some direction.

It's starting to look like Roosy might be a better judge of talent than I am.

Ethan loves the private message. I am sure it was as lovely as the one I got.

That's not right. The spirit of Demonland is to attack people publicly so that we can all see it!

God, not another one of these posters around the joint.

It always seems to be the one's regularly belittling other posters, that find it necessary to send a private message on why you don't agree with them..

The world's a funny place.

I didn't feel it were right to correct your mistake in front of everyone.

It looks quite silly making spelling errors when the point of your post was to laugh at others errors.

Next time I'll post for all to see.

Ethan's message was fine, he was right. No problems.

Personally, I think if you make a goose of yourself you deserve public ridicule. It's not like anyone knows who you are. It's all part of the sport IMO.

Ethan, I was not being sarcastic when I thanked you. But when I stuff up in future feel free to give it to me. I will not hold back on you.

PS: I didn't feel it was right

Come on.......haha.

No worries. It just seems some on here are very delicate.

I'll make note that you're not none of them.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
