Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

I agree Macca. The strongest club in the land does not wish to change its colours because it wishes to remain the strongest club in the land. The MFC wearing white is not a sign of strength and i will never approve.

Yep , every time our team runs out in "that" jumper I utter the same words . "Oh no , not that thing again ! And I've cleaned that last comment up . And ...........................it's been a few years now . Still cheer our team on the same way obviously .

Can we at least get rid of the pink . I'll cop crimson , dark maroon , red , burgundy , even auburn ! But not pink .

Of course , I agree with the use of pink for worthy causes and special days etc .

Cheers

Our white jumper sucks, but is better than what we have had in the past. The Doggies NAB Cup jumper is brilliant I think. Like it a lot as there clash jumper. But the AFL requires white I dont know why? Idiots.

Dee's clash jumper should be red with a 'Demon logo' (a good one) or the 'MFC' emblem!

All you traditionalist out there - IIRC our original nickname was the invincible whites so therefore we should only be wearing the white outfit........

Unfortunately it is a necessary evil, that unfortunately hasn't been administered or policed well. We are stuck with it. I would have no problems if we adopted a home jumper an away jumper (predominantly red) and the clash jumper for when the red one won't work. As far as predominantly white ones go its pretty good. The kids love them as signatures work better on them. It's here to stay

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but the new player pictures are up on the MFC website... although a few players on on their last seasons pics. If you open up one of them that still has last years top (Tapscott for example) and compare it to any of the new pics, this years jumper is definitely much much more red than that pinky shade we had last year.

Not to get into the middle of this argument again, but...

I think equating not having a clash jumper and strength is specious.

I could easily argue stubborn over strong, pigheaded over powerful, and arrogant over aardvark.

Couldn't think of an 'A' word.

didn't you know rpfc that we are a specious lot here at Demonland?

not withstanding ad hominem attacks that is

this annoys me so much.

surely we just have to wear the clash when playing away against teams that are also red/blue/black, like essendon.

why can we not follow the EPL model, where they have a home strip, an away strip that is pretty much the opposite, and then a 3rd strip that is worn extremely rarely, and only in cases where both the home and away would clash. its not [censored] rocket science people.

we could have a blue/red one, a red with some blue one and a white one we rarely rarely wear. the red one should be worn against the likes of st kilda.

as for collingwood - they at least look very white when they have the 3 black stripes and white shorts, and very black when its the other way around. they even wore a even blacker version against north last year.

as for essendon - those arrogant [censored] can [censored] off. red shorts? how about no.

Slightly off topic, but I found the Bulldogs jumper which they wore against GWS was much harder to distinguish from GWS than their regular jumper would have been.

I agee I thought it was the worst clash in AFL history.

How do those colours fit the AFLpolicy/

Guys I cannot believe you are so sensitive.

Just a small joke

I thought you would have seen through it based on lots of previous discussions.

Lighten up guys it is 20 th Feb.

Sorry OD but i don't find it funny when certain clubs can do as they wish whilst our jumper is diluted.

I don't like being kicked.

I know you and DC find little humour in the subject and I did try to bypass your comment.

Enough said.

Have a good night mate.

RPFC someone as articulate as your good self couldn't come up with an A word.

You respond extremely well to a few "A..... hole" contributers to these forums.

The Dogs' strip in the weekend tri-farce clashed with GW$ far more than their traditional one.

The trouble is, common sense has little or no part in AFL decision making.

My point exactly which is why there are times the club should inform the members that this time we are going to say "no" today we will wear the traditional jumper.

eg. Melbourne & Essendung look great playing against each other in trad jumpers. I never mistake our jumper and am now almost 50. With an HD screen i just do not understand the logic. Except power & merchandise. But i am yet to see a white MFC jumper worn in public yet.

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
