Not much good if he still gets around on magpie legs.

It's not pronounced, but I thought on these twitter photos Cale seems to be showig some definition in those arms finally... Is it just me?

Is it the terminal boredom of the offseason?

Is it grasping at straws because I'm so desperate to see him make something of himself..?

Any thoughts?

If he has just finished swinging a tennis racquet around then I suspect that would offer the best explanation. Rafa Nadal size would be preferable.

The only way to make his legs look any bigger is to get him into Warwick Cappers shorts instead of the skirt he wears at the moment.

You'd have to think so. He's been in the system for a while now, and he is getting older.

I'm hoping for big things from Morton in 2012. Misson could be just what he needed at this stage of his career.

An unfortunate terminology, magpie legs.

Any other bird maybe, but not the dreaded enemy surely, not even the much maligned Cale

Ibis? Flamingo? Brolga? But not filthy magpie.

Yep he's huge. A whopping 1kg heavier. Sorry Lutz you've been struck down with the dreaded offseason boredom plague.

Like the fabled oasis of palm trees and a cool lagoon in the middle of the Sahara, I'm trying desperately to see something in those pics to get me excited but ... alas ... no dice.

He has the most un-AFL ready body I've ever seen. It's almost comical to think he plays footy at the highest level, based purely on his physical appearance.

Jarryd certainly put on some size - he's a year and a half older than Cale.

Cale has always been much smaller than his brothers.

He will always be skinny, but he still needs to add quite a bit more muscle than he has now.

Can you elaborate on this remark?

Jarryd has always been a hulking man?

I honestly couldnt decifer the comment, seemed to be a funny comparison to me, with the tennis, couldnt tell if you were serious or not? or what you were saying about Cale?

edit - i do have slow moments admittedly

The photo's in the OP links were of Cale with a tennis racquet. Assuming exerting force whilst swinging your arm to hit a ball would increase blood flow and possibly make your arm appear bigger than it is.... That's what I was trying to allude to.

Hope that helps. :)

Cale will never be a big footballer, neither was R Flower (and no i am not comparing them!)

I am confident Neeld, Craig and Misson will turn Cale Morton into the same pick 4 that our recruiters saw.

I asked the question today regarding weight gain for Cale. The answer was positive- have a look at his little finger, it has expanded after that Port Adelaide ruckman retired and went to Richmond,he uses it more often now.

I spoke to him at the B & F for a while and was surprised that up close he is bigger in the arms and upper body than you would think, seeing him from a distance. Reminds me a bit of Michael Tuck and he lasted for a few games with a similiar sized body.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
