Lay your nutz on the line. Just state the name, no justifications needed.

I'll start us off ...

Todd Viney.

I know who it should be....The Drill seargent from Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket"

We need the hardest preseason this club has ever had, whoever it is...

Todd-although how he can tell them their disposal is disgusting and keep a straight face will be tricky for him. He was a master butcher himself .

Please not Viney, if our club becomes anymore in-bred with the Old Boys Club we will start to exhibit strange and ugly genetic mutations. If he was really the best man for the job fine but no-one could tell me that if he were to get the job it would be on merit.

Please not Eade either, he is only a bridesmaid will never get to the altar.

I wouldn't be unhappy with one of the Highly Touted assistant coaches but would prefer a Ross Lyon or Malthouse obviously.

Bottom line is we need someone to send a rocket up the club, someone who will not accept soft, lazy and unaccountable performances by the players. As long as they can fill those requirements I don't really care who it is.

You mean R Lee Ermey. Just ten minutes with that guy and Cale Morton would turn into Private Pyle, complete with a full mental breakdown in a bathroom.

Essendon are going all right arnt they and how many old bombers do they have. The club will not just give the job to Viney.

Yes R Lee is our man!! that must be the most hellish 45 minutes of film i have ever watched.

R Lee was not an actor, but a real drill seargent!

ME.

I once coached an under 14's seconds sides. We only won one game for the season and the boys (being the 2nds side) weren't the greatest of young players, but they loved footy and boy did they have a crack every week. They never stopped trying even when getting absolutely thumped by the opposition, which happened allot. Although now thinking about it that is the only coaching experience i have, and i don't really have much of a game plan. But i really like football and the Melbourne Demons, and people seem to like me. Give me a shot!

Or do you think it'd be best to go for someone more experienced then me?

Todd says he's got the taste after five games. I'm amazed he hasn't been put off.

I originally thought Eade would be a good get but have probably swayed toward Lyon.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
