Wow what a brainwave! Playing a guy in his most natural role. I honestly cant stand hearing pre season player X is improving his fitness and looking for a midfield role or player, usually a forward is so fit they could be a a gun midfielder, think Pavlich or Franklin. Truth is theyre forwards. Always have been. If Davey played fwd the last few years maybe we would of won a few more games. This is good simple coaching. Know next to nothing re NFL but am a Chargers fan thanks to the MFC link with Darren Bennett so thought id check out some of there clothing online. Through ebay picked up an awesome Chargers cap and tee and also some great Hurley and Quiksilver gear that i dont think is available in Aus. Was through a sport clothing site called Fanatics. Took 4 - 6 weeks for delivery but was well priced and professional all the way so highly recommended to anyone interested.

My take is hes come in and said there are no more excuses, Ill give you a game plan and all the coaches, facillities and resources you need. As good or better than any other club. Its up to you the player to make the most of whats on offer. We ask from you 100% dedication,effort and professionalism to the task. No more illusions at Melbourne this is whats expected of you. You know it, i know it and now the media and supporters know it. There is no where to hide. Expectations have now been lifted and the balls in your court. No one will be gifted games in this side.

I was at that game MFC vs Adelaide. Whelan was having an awesome finals series but sat out that game with i think a hand injury. I saw him walking around inside the G on level 1 SS looking totally peed off an hour before the game , never seen such a dejected looking fella. TJ ripped it up that game running forward of the ball and Yze and Robbo tried to get in on the act and ran into each other and we totally lost momentum. Danners must rue that as a lost opportunity cos we were flying. I was in the SS and saw them running into each other sitting in pretty much the same seats i sat in and watched Schwarz try to out manouvere one to many Sydney opponents. Both shattering incidents. My first game was Melbourne v WC 1988. I think the Dees won.

Is it a coincedence that the Melbourne pkayers in the IR squad could be viewed as possible MFC captains or at least leadership? Ever asked yourselves why CS BG DF and JT wre in the team to begin with. My guess is MFC pushed for these guys to play as part of a leadership trainning experience given our apparent lack of leadership skills. If this were the case and it was some what of a test it would be fair to say that Col stuffed up big time. Seriously. i know its a second rate squad but what a chance to learn and gain respect from your peers. ......?

Theyre not dumb these guys at radio land. They know were building and before to long and theyre going to have to talk about our side in more than a fill in spot so they use guys like Denham to poke us into ringing up and having a go ( providing entertainment ) so in future years when the bigger sides are down they wont have empty switchboards. I would have to say after listenning to a lot of sports radio the last 5 years or so that a MFC supporter ringing up on an us vs them topic would more often than not be in the minority. I never call in i just listen with my blood boiling. Much respect to those of you that do call in and support, i hear you and i fist pump. Go Dees

I reckon Flash could play till hes 35 if he was handled properly by coaching staff. He could afford to lose a yard or 2 of pace and still be ultra quick. Hes not the kind of guy that should get heavy tags and would benefit more than anyone by some class around him. Cant speak for his headspace but if he wants it his biggest contributions to the club could still be in front of him. Is a matchwinner and if i were coaching id love to have him in my forward half. Maybe im just longing for the past but i think hes got a lot to offer.

His size is what i like now, has the body to be in contests and the pace is a bonus. Was skinny but has spent the time off the leg well.

Tackling the big issues here ? FFS how much of your life do you waste worrying about this ?
