I reckon Blues are good for around 30,000

You will probably get 2000 media ... who want to see blood and don't care what side its from ... B)

then there is us? Well on past performances I'm not confident. But, maybe this week may have woken a few up

I'm going for 15,000

Total ... 47,000 sadly not good enough.

Would have said 63k but the rainy weather bring it back to 57k. Games going to be pumped all week, guaranteed entertainment from the media's perspective, i.e. Can the Dees rebound and regain their pride?

And the Blues fans at feeling cockey enough to see us as lively but ultimately unsuccessful on Saturday. Allowing them the further gloat ...

Big crowd.

Any true MFC supporter should be keen to be at the G to see how the team we love responds...

52,354 plus my family (3) which makes 52,357.

There'll be plenty of Carltank supporters wanting to see the Blues romp away with a big percentage boost. I'm tipping they'll go home disappointed.

CFC home game, say 40k Carlton

MFC maybe 10k if lucky

50k or so

The 2:1 prediction from hangon was bad enough, but 4:1? Honestly? Ridiculous.

For some context, 47K were there for our Friday night home game versus Carlton earlier in the year.

Key being our home game. Carlton home game is a different kettle of fish.

MCC will stay about the same, but far more Carlton supporters will show.

And context is more based off other reports of the Hawthorn game, where people said we would have been lucky to have 10k.

I was at the game and dispute that estimate; where you there? What do you think?

This will be the weekend the true MFC supporters come to the fore. I've never anticipated a H&A match more in my life. The traditional bandwagoners will no doubt shirk the issue when the club truly requires their support. I've come to expect that of a large proportion of Melbourne supporters.

I'm going to go the opposite to many and predict a lot of Melbourne supporters will show up.

Be honest. Aren't you interested to see what happens this week?

Given Carlton itself will draw 35,000 people, I'm tipping a crowd of over 60,000.

i think a lot of MFC supporters will turn up...Why?

Support Jimmy

after Garry Lyon's dialouge on FC and MMM

Tod Viney's presser....

I think this week will pull a crowd...if it turns ugly the eagles game will be very sparse, but if the team does ok, then all is not lost onfield for 2011.

55,000 +-

You'll be lucky to get 5-10000 Melbourne supporters there.

Agreed.

But I'll be there. God knows why. I hate this club right now, but I'm a sucker for pain (and also I've been promised alcohol afterwards) :P

We should all get together for a drink soon...

That sounds good WYL however

The location needs to be away from Water, tall buildings, sharp implements, busy roads and Hardware Stores!

After Saturday we need to be somewhere safe.

I think 42000

34000 Carltonians

and 8000 demented Dees

So who are the other 7999?

Im travelling down for it . Question... can we get a heap of members to stick together in a certain area and create some sort of strong hold? CFC home game so im assuming a lot of DEES supporters will be rolling into the general admin areas. Lets organise a STRONGHOLD and be very VOCAL!!!! thoughts??

Sorry to be negative but I have little confidence at the beginning of August

Every game against a good side has ended in tears and been over by quarter time.

What if there is little to be vocal about!

Old Dee........ I didnt say we were going to win on sat . I hope like buggery we do though . What im saying is our backs are to the wall and we are getting smashed from pillar to post as a club . This is no fault of the supportrers like us . I was just suggesting that rather than sit in dribs and drabs amongst the throng we stick together and let our feelings be known.... strength in numbers...

I know EGD I was just trying to injected a bit of humour.

Not saying I have not been infected with agony like most on here

but we all need to step back a little and remind ourselves it is only a game after all.

Lets hope we make a game of it and have something to cheer about for a large part of the game.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
