Today my club died

Today my club gave up

Today my club failed to show me any respect

Today my heart was broken

Today we lost by 31 goals

Tomorrow they can have my scarf back

Tomorrow they can get stuffed

Tomorrow they can see the masses mobilise

Tomorrow they can see how the hurt the faithful

Tomorrow they will see passion when they get my scarf back

i will never throw away my scarf...i wish to be buried with it.

But i shall be sending some correspondence to the club.

I am not happy, but dummy spits never make any difference.

Do something constructive....

Love the Club, hated today.

All I want is EFFORT.

No seriously, a result like that needs action so us members (the stakeholders) have faith in the club. There's losses, and there is LOSSES!!!

To remove the coach alone is not going to fix the problem. Any player in the leadership group should stand down on Monday.

If there was any doubt before today it is now a fact - WE HAVE GONE BACKWARDS. I dont care if we win our last 3 games, take out the 2 gold coast wins (which may not happen) and we have no more wins than last year. The only difference this year is our average losing margin.

All assistant coaches reapply for your jobs at seasons end. Same for anyone in the footy department. We have the list, now let's give them a chance.

What makes me almost as sad as being reminded of today's result is 'supporters' talking about dropping their memberships. The strongest clubs, both on and off the field, are those with the highest membership numbers. Yes, winners are grinners, but it will only make our climb back up the ladder so much harder if we don't have strong membership numbers. I know it hurts after today's demolition but don't write off your memberships. We need them! And I'm speaking as a member who is holding a platinum membership ticket after 27 years consecutive membership. I've seen some shocking losses in that time and I've experienced wins that have taken me to the heights. I'll continue to put my hand in my pocket every year no matter who's in charge, either in the boardroom or on the field. Don't desert the Club. We need everyone on board more than ever or we'll be lost in the wilderness for another 10 years!

I have a feeling that tomorrow they will see a hangover when you 'give it back'.

Hey, if you're lucky you'll make the news and do actual damage to the club.

And I third your post. Also a 27 year platinum member.

There isn't a Melbourne supporter who isn't gutted my today's result. It was a dismal performance and one I hope we never repeat again. We are angry and we have every right to be angry however if we all walk away we all lose. It might be hard to put it behind us but what we need to do is hold strong and support the club. That's why we are called supporters. While tomorrow's papers will rip us to shreds, the last thing the club needs is for memberships to be sent back. I will continue to support my club and continue to go and see my club play. The strongest clubs are the ones that are united!

spot on mate... spot on.

The club only dies if we stop supporting and on my end that's never gonna happen.

Im sick of this $hit.. i can put up with a loss..but not what happened today... and what really pisses me off is my fellow Demon supporters looking for positives is this crap, and making excuses, such as some of the boys might have had the flu... you are just making it worse..

Put your membership on the microwave, send back your scalfs and let this club know that decades of this is just not on..its a disgrace

I need to see an ad in the paper tomorrow with the words:

WANTED. COACH AND FOOTBALL DEPARTMENT WITH SOME SERIOUS A$$HOLE.

If I see 1 more game of bruise-free football from the red and blue I'll throw up.

The thought of rats jumping off in stormy weather, or when the going gets tough, too tough for some. Like today, too hard for some, but these types of days are footy dept's silver lining, because they show where the waters coming in from, so that it can be sorted.

We will rise from this, and this will be a major watershed in the rebuilding of our list & club...

You really have been pathetic today diablo

I don't really know what to say, I am devastated. Bottom line is we choose to support our team and that means taking the thrashings as well as those magical wins. I could never not support the Dees but maybe we have to look at our supporter base, it's pretty ordinary. We just don't really have enough supporters who really care enough.

If you want to microwave your membership or throw away your scarf then maybe look at yourself not the Club.

See you later then.

Sure, it stinks right now to be a Melbourne supporter. Once again, we are the laughing stock of the AFL. Our future looks worse now than it did at the start of the year.

Your hypocrisy is startling. You complain about our players giving up, yet that is exactly what you're doing. Don't just walk away now. The last thing this club needs is for its fans to desert it. We might feel like walking away, but that achieves nothing, and it's getting through the pains like today that make the eventual success, whenever it comes, that much sweeter.

But if you wanna give up now, fine. Just don't come back.

Memberships in the microwave and a few scarves in the post will make the footy club go into melt down on monday i'm sure.

Send a more supportive message and stop being so dramatic

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
