Brad Green's post match interview was as shameful as his on field behaviour today. Yelling at Nicholson for not passing him the ball. What wonderful captaincy.

What's to discuss we are devoid of leaders, you can't discuss nothing.

The MFC has for as long as I can remember recruited nice types, good lads, fine upstanding types who for the most couldn't lead a camel to an oasis that was 2 metres away.

We have avoided the nasty types like Mitch Robinson and Darling because they don't fit the MCC mould.

You need to ask what their motivations were.

There are better ways to go about getting rid of the coach than humiliating the club, the jumper and the supporters.

The fish always rots from the head. If our leadership is non existent, than we will never amount to anything.

McKenzie is more a leader than Green.

Ill put my hand up and say I wanted Brad Green captain, but there is no doubt he has proved that he is not a captain's big toe. Sad state of affairs when a 20 year old off the rookie list is showing seasoned AFL footballers how it is done.

Only thing is there is a definite lack of leadership in our 24+ group. Next year the youth need to put in charge, and maybe it will cost us some premiership points early on, but will reap rewards eventually. Telling our young guns to follow the lead of our current leadership group is detrimental long term IMO.

I'm another who thought Green should've been given the captaincy, on the back of experience and a great 2010.

How wrong I was.

Brad Green's Post Match interview was shamefull

He was almost laughing. This attitude must cease or we are dead.

Absolutely pushed me over the edge that.

Thank god for friends and alcohol. I need to step away from this right now

Just looking at their half time stats from the ground said it all, Moloney 0, Green 1 and Rivers was from memory about 3.

We have the worst senior players in the league. It's just a fact.

We have the worst midfield in the league. It's just a fact. Trengove (love the guy), Moloney, Gysberts, McKenzie, Jones, Sylvia. Name me a worse midfield.

Missed the post match interview, could someone kindly point me in a direction I might find it, or fill me in on what was said. At a guess, did he just crap on about how powerful Geelong are???

I saw it on the CH 10 news, just a quick grab, but it summed it up....Brad may say it, but he does not CARE enough.

Agreed...

Whoever's decision it was to let Junior Go, last Year made a monumental blunder! His workrate and commitment to the club & games was second to none. I'm annoyed that the footy department made this poor decision last year.

Greeny just doesn't have the co#u%@$ to throw caution to the wind, body & soul....

The whole leadership group from the prior administered team, all the older players cannot play todays footy. And don't dare Dance,,, 'the Old fashioned way' !!!

I know we have not got our balance back since being pantsed on the back of the Darwin win, but we are now in a lot of trouble with 2 big games to come,,, confidence way down.

I don't know, but sometimes some players, sell their grief and passion for an exchange of silver.

Ya reckon they were sayin if that dont get rid of him nothin will...................the whole day just reaked conspiracy.....I stood all day in absolute amazement at the lack of intent......a coach, a leadership group, hell, just the fact that you got a gig in the red and the blue should be enough to want to play, coach and lead. When the game finished my interest in AFL 2011 season went with it.I am shattered.....I really thought that the club had turned the corner and would have at least played in one final this year. Scully will go now for sure.... so I suppose we can afford Malthouse

Let Maloney drink as much as he wants and give him back the VC .....can we get Cadel Evans?

Look at Hawthorn so far tonight....."we love our club and we play to win"

Since 1961 that is exactly what they have done....The players play for the club..Yes i hate them, but Geez i wish we had their attitude.

I'll admit I was wrong about thinking Green was the right guy for the job, but in saying that, how many times did Moloney get his hands on the pill today? Equally as horrible a performance.

Forget the captaincy issue here....Brad, twice before my eyes, threw his hands in the air in exasperation in the 1st half, something I haven't actually seen before. It wasn't a little movement...it was quite noticeably an aggrieved motion. Normally our boys are robotic around the ground. Brad wasn't. He is hurting too.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
