I think i've heard the terms 'insipid', 'going forward' and 'gut running' more in the last 6 months than I had in the 37 years that preceded the past 6 months.

Has anyone else made any 'buzz word' observations?

Yep gotta agree. Anyone who is a good player or has better than average aspects to their game has the word Elite used to describe them in todays media - over the top IMO. Judd is Elite. Abblett is Elite. To say some one like James Stauss has Elite kicking skills is a massive overstatement IMO

I believe insipid probably takes the cake for buzz word of the season. If a team gets flogged they were insipid , even if the definition of the word doesnt acuratley describe the loss.

and

This is more of a commentary thing again, but every single time a ruckman tries to do something other than hand off immediately to a teammate you will immediately hear: "Was it Clint Eastwood that said 'Man's got to know his limitations'?"
