I'm as happy as anyone regarding our win on the weekend. But I acknowledge that despite Fremantle's apparent lack of effort, we also contributed to their demise. I also acknowledge that despite those who bag the commentators lack of recognition, Fremantle are missing a hell of a lot of their players as well as key players in Sandilands and Mundy. It would have been a somewhat entirely different story had they been fit and the clearances would have been a different story.

Take the win and take no notice of the commentators if they bug you that much. But be mindful of where they are coming from in terms of rating sides. Our side will get much more recognition if we beat an up and running Richmond at the G this week. It's a big test in front of what should be a decent crowd on a Saturday arvo. Co-tennants. Jamar back. Go Dees !

"A somewhat entirely different story" HT - I'm definitely somewhat unsure about what I might perhaps make of that

Completely agree. The concept of a 'breakout game' is typical wanky modern 'footyspeak'.

like when somebody gut-runs to the fat-side because their BMI is so excellent and thats whey they are getting so many efficient loose ball disposals

why do i feel like Dermot Brereton made them all up

yeah let's talk about football on the Telly like it's as complicated as neuroscience

Seeing this topic has gone so far off topic.....Watts is going to be an excellent 10 year player for the Dees

Thought that the minute I spoke to him three years ago, he will not have a 'breakout' game as such, neither did Reiwoldt, he will just get better and better until we start to expect the same high standard each week and are disappointed when it is not produced again a la Reidwoldt

Personally I don't give a toss what anybody thinks of MelbourneFC or its players or coaches.....the only opinion that matters to me is my own

Cue Schwab - this is our home, the rest are just tenants :P

Maybe he should get on twitter with that. Been somewhat silent and no where near as vocal. Must be busy behind the scenes.

Very important today, in fact he becoming very important full stop. What impressed me was that he gave away that stupid free, but didn't go into his shell, that goal he kick just before 3 quarter time was that biggest he's ever kicked, and boy did I love it!

He is starting to look very good. Got to the stage where I'm not just hoping he will pop up and do something important, I've actually come to expect it when it goes in his area over the last month or two.

Great game today and he had some MONGREL.....did you see him after that last goal of his......pumped and yelling.

His body work is getting better and better by the week. Some great contested marks and even a big pack mark.

Does not get out marked very often now either, Lets face it Jurrah stayed down twice when Watts flew against 2 and got a goal from one, that shows confidence in him from the others.

Very good again, goal on 3 qtr time siren was the match winner. Very big goal!

Huge goal PJ. I remember thinking, cometh the hour cometh the man. He definitely shut up some feral fans around me, that were giving him a heap all game.

I was most impressed with the strong mark at CHF on the lead earlier in the game. That and the big pack mark.

[Had Pie fan hanging it on Jack yesterday.

Told him about that shimmy against Freo but the clown hadn't seen it.

His Collingwood arrogance shining thru he went on about how worried we must be.

Wonder if he will see today's game? Nah, I just hope Jack lies in wait to bury them when it counts. And he will. The kid is growing by the week - 2 votes on 774 today and lots more to come.

At half time when they were jostling Chip he raced in to help. He is always first to a player when they kick a goal and he obviously gets on very well with Liam. Great to watch. I hope all those naysayers in the media are just as fast to applaud him.

Had something like 10 scoring assists up to the last quarter. Not sure how many he ended up with. Can anyone confirm this?

I think he had 11 scoring assists. He got BOG on mmm. JB said to Jack he should go to every person that has bagged him and say stick that up ya. Im glad he is finally showing us his potential.

Im just super impressed with Jack and he is showing us what he is capable of. I loved his contested marks he took and that mark he took in the middle of the pack was superb.

I did get a little annoyed when he gave away that dumb free kick and the tigers scored a goal out of it. He said after the game Dean had words with him. But when he kicked that goal on the 3/4 time siren all was forgiven.

Didn't mind the "stupid" free actually .

Startin' to throw some weight around ... Love it .

We've got front row seats watching a Super Duper star in the making .

According to the AFL Match Centre, the whole team had 11 Goal Assists so ther might be a misunderstanding somewhere along the line.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
