I was at the game today and Tom played well be I was watching him like a hawk and did notice he only very slightly favoured his knee. I was able to take this photo at the 10 minute mark of the last quarter.

Limiting his work load for next friday.

I heard last night that all he had to do today was play half a game and pull up ok and he was in. We'll see.

Look at that kid, sitting there with ice on his knee.... he is so obviously going to GWS. That ice bag is full of dirty GWS money too

Six million over five years to play for GWS is a lot of money. I've heard he thinks that's a good deal.

And yes - this is all fourth hand hearsay and therefore unreliable.

The physio would've made him ice it weather it was giving him grief or not being it was his first game back. Last week a lot of people at the club were saying 2 weeks at the VFL to get him some match conditioning, so it won't surprise me if they do give him one more week with the Scorps to make sure everything is right.

The worst thing we can do by him and the club is to rush him back.

Yeah it would be silly to rush him back given our next game was on a Monday the next week. Although having the option of being subbed out or the sub may give him a chance.

Posted

he only played 60% game time, he could come in as our sub, possibly, but i wouldnt want him playing a full game at afl after playing 60% game time in the vfl

having said that 19 disposals in 60% game time is awesome, and he would kill it as a sub.

playing him as a sub would be great because we could then monitor his game time, barring injury, and we could also monitor his injury, and it would also mean we could get him doing a proper fitness test after the match for the next week.

That's the worst spell of whether we've had all year

If he pulled up OK at Casey he should be the sub.

I agree. If he's on track to play say 90 mins at Casey we may as well name him in the AFL.

After years of attending most games, finally decided I'd have a mid season break against bombers and pies. However, Gawn this week and Scully next week (no need to rush him) I'll hack it again looking for just aglimpse of something to hang my hope on

Did he looked like he has bulked up at all?

Pretty much the same Thomo. He still looked a little smaller the the VFL players. I don't know his name but Casey have this guy playing in the back pocket that looks like he should've been in race 3 at Flemington.
