Absolutely, there is nothing better for a football club than a loss

The mind boggles!

Are you saying that a loss can't be good for a club?

We'll be 5 goals down before our midfield decide to pull their collective finger out and we'll probably win by about 10 points.

You guys are all way too confident, if any one could lose an unlosable game it would be us. If we're a decent side should win by 10 to 15 goals. But we are just going and will probably win by around 5. Enough to paper over the cracks and keep the wolves from the door.

Be afraid!!!

make that 100+ points as gablett not playing according to reports

The only report I've read stated that he's a bit sore but will play (someone started a Demonland thread that linked to the article).

time will tell of course

point being, if gablett doesn't play add another 30 points

I said previously the yardstick is 70 (mot that I expect that, the way we are playing)

Who decides the yard stick?

The Dogs and the Blues are the only ones who have played in that yard and their stick is bigger than ours.

hey dl we are trying to win the match

HaHaha, I know. But or biggest waekness is going in with our most juvenile side, away from home, without good form.

For a win we sjhould pick stronger bodies, so I'm suggesting a mixture. Keep Watts this week, but jetison the timid.

Then back to development after the break.

How is possible that a team "should of won by more". Should have/would have/could have are irrelevant really. Melbourne couldwin the premiership this year, but that doesn't mean much if we don't does it?

with ess and carl, swans and saints and rich only playing gc once , must win both games vs gc by heaps as % will be important if going for a posi with any of other sides

nope 23, 21 players plus the sub plus Bailey = 23, however i will overlook the sub if he doesn't get much game time.

How kind of you.

What ever the outcome is today, the club and players are on hiding to nothing. Is a 50 point win enough? Is a 100 point win enough? Is 12 different goal scorers enough? Is a single goal scorer of 6-9 goals good?

God help our club if the unthinkable happens. What ever the outcome, aside from the points,it means zero.

Our full time job as a football club at present should be entirely focused on earning respect. It has been sadly lacking for 40 years. This football club drains my soul at times, because of lack of intensity.

Thats the first time I've had a chance to see the Suns matched up against another young side developing.

The Suns are very Poor. Ordinary. They won't win many games at all this year playing nothing football like that.

To think I was concerned about this week.

I would be thrilled if they didn't win a game this year. And I think that is a very possible scenario.

In my opinion, these continued floggings are only going to hurt GWS' hopes of getting players like Scully.

As has been said, I can't wait to see what Collingwood does to them. B)

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
