Sylvia caught out late drinking. I think it's an overreaction by the club all things considered

Geez, gotta be something more to it doesn't there? Home by midnight, not drunk, no trouble... Doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary... Was it a night before training or something? Just feels like either something is missing from the story or it's been beat up MASSIVELY by the SA media

Classic Media Beat up from the Adelaide Advertiser.

The news is 2 weks old!!!!

Classic Media Beat up from the Adelaide Advertiser.

The news is 2 weks old!!!!

That's pretty quick for Adelaide considering how far behind they are on average... Must have upgraded their telegraph system

Posted

What a beat up!!!!

I love the way they dredge up the past in every article like this, just to reinforce their point that Col must be a ragbag!

Rip the Swans a new one Col!!!!!

First 2 words "Serial Offender" It's actually a HUN article written by Jon Ralph, which makes it even worse.

Just lost all respect for J R over that one.....

Posted

I reckon it is great. Publish it the day of the first match to give Col even more reason to get out there and tear Sydney a new one.

The article highlights just how desperate our media is becoming to keep pumping out "controversial stories".

Go Dees!

Small "curfew" misdemeanor = non event! Who was it that wrote an article the other week saying that they should play 6 days a week to ease the need for the media to fill their papers with "fluff"? Well here we have an example of the argument in that article. Sometimes I think these reporters need to get a life.

seriel offender!?? wtf since when?

You're kidding me right?

The overreaction from our leadership group should give everyone an insight into the issues that the younger Colin Sylvia had.

Stopping him before he gets into bad habits is what you want.

Well done to the leaders.

Bails, just said on Game day that it was the night before training...not the right thing to do having a few beers night before training....but nothing big....

as for John Ralph..the guy is a hack of monumental proportions

absolutely, you would hope jon ralph is given the silent treatment from the club for the rest of the year after that one

Yes, and I hardly think that a stern talking to and some extra duties is an over-reaction.

Jon Ralph is the only one who over reacted!!!

Exactly WYL. Well done to leadership group on pre-emptive strike. And well done to CS today, played as if to make amends.

Posted

This probably answers the question as to why Sylvia is not in the leadership group. Not a massive deal and the punishment was proportional to the crime - but it's not the 100% professionalism you'd expect from a leader.

This is news??

Then again, Charlie Sheen can fart in a jar and it is page 1 news..........

wow. thought Col would have learnt by now, hopefully this is only a one off, and continues his much improved behaviour

OMG!! SRSLY? Charie Sheen farted in a jar? I can't believe I haven't heard about this.

'Journalism' these days is getting closer and closer to failing the Turing Test.

Not a major infringement, but none-the-less a timely reminder to Col to toe the line.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
