If we look into one of the 1200 posts on this topic someone mentioned that MFC had created the rumour and will come out and sign him before the season. If I was a Melbourne player out of contract and an elite player such as Scully turned down such a lucrative deal, the last thing I'd want to look like is a desperate sloppy seconds recruit. Scully signing will definitely be a positive for us not just him remaining as a demon, but for others to follow suit. Domino effect.
