Our list's development concerns me a bit, are we a chance to win a premiership?

/MFCSS

Your concerns are: List?, lack of specialist coaches? Where? I am very interested to get your feedback -as I believe we have got the stronest list possible.I think we have now the best development coaching list we have ever had. I look forward to your response.

Scully is amazing and trains as if he is in a match. Sharp, very focussed and his kicking was on song which is good news after a high number of foot-blunders in matches last year. He comes across like the sort of bloke who is addicted to footy - you know, when he isn't training or playing, he is reading about it, learning in some way, or just tossing a footy around in his hands. REALLY impressive and stands out on the training track.

He loves it so much he stayed away from alcohol in order to play as good as he could, to me that is pretty epic and quite rare in your average Aussie teenage bloke. Think about when he is in his prime, say 25-27, he will be the bloke at the club that just sets the bar really high for everyone to jump over, and on gameday he will throttle sides especially as the game goes on everyone else tires. Really excited about this kid.

Aaron Davey's leadership was great to see. After each drill, whoever was in his group got a pat on the back or bum and a word of encouragement. It was intentional, deliberate and effective. I haven't seen him in this light before and he comes across as a strong and effective leader.

that's because he's trolling for the captaincy!

Thanks for the update. Welcome and I really hope you can get out there more!

Any update on McKenzie or Garland would be appreciate. 2 best 22 guys who seem to go under the radar with training reports. Hopefully that means they are just going about there business well and are readying themselves for strong seasons.

I'd love a report on the new rookies as well but understand if its hard to spot them because I wouldn't be able to.

Maldon: they play in Essendon jumpers don't they, Maldonboy?

Maldon played in Essendung colours yes, but not the same jumper. Please!!! We never called ourselves the Bombers, we were always the Dons. Later in life I had the opportunity to play in the Bendigo Football League and would you believe I could not play for Castlemaine because they had Colliwobbler colours so I went to Kyneton and put up with a Richmond strip. Old habits die hard.

I should have put in some info about Col Garland. In one of the drills they were kicking to a marking contest with the forward trying to mark and the defender trying not only to spoil, but to tap to it a ground player. Col's position was 10/10 each time I was watching. He sometimes makes me feel a bit like Watts does. It doesn't feel like he is really attacking the contest but he rarely gets beaten and his skills under pressure are effective. As much as I hate Carltank, Peter Dean comes to mind as someone similar.

Cheers. Also going from an earlier photo he looks a bit stronger this year which is good. Certainly no Frawley, but not a kid anymore in terms of build.

Fairly obvious, I thought...

At the same time, I know where Tobias was heading.

So many things today are advertised as "hand-made" - as opposed to what exactly?

They have robots pumping some of this stuff out?

Specially trained monkeys?

subbies.

Yes, it was merely a quip on the idea of taking the statement literally; to use someone else's hands.. I mean you can only "use" your own hands, if you hire help- they use their own hands- unless you cut them off and and proceed to work like some kind of DIY Norman Bates.

Joke fail.

Yes, it's like hearing voices in your head.

As opposed to where exactly - hearing voices in your legs?

That's proper mental.

I'm Jimmy Carr, thank you.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
