I've been doing the same, the I last I heard was that he's agreed to sign a 3 year contract on SEN a few days ago. I wish the club would just come out and confirm it though.

Some collingwood [censored] on big footy said this:

It's a complete rumour and i can't find anything to substantiate it so don't shoot the messanger

I'm only providing the latest rumour I have heard from scouring the internet.

Re: Aaron Davey

That came from demon's source, it is Pies or Demons. Bombers not in the picture

Like I say i take this with a grain of salt but it would be good to here he has offically come to terms before trade week starts.

Like i said i will be absolutely devestated if flash leaves us!

It will not just have an impact on-field but have major consequences off-field.

Come on Dees! Come on Aaron!

On SEN this morning they (MFC) said that Davey isn't up for Trade. Then said something about the PSD pick if things went pear shaped but i didnt really know what that meant....? By the sound of the way they were talking it sounded to me that Aaron is staying. Did anyone else hear the same and did they know what it ment about the PSD pick?

Yes- simply they are saying that MFC will not be offering Flash as a trade, however if they cannot come to an amicable agreement, the most likely scenario will be he will go in PSD draft.

However, I do not think this will happen and strongly feel we will get great news by the weekend

With us having pick 1 in the PSD does that mean we could get re draft him?

YES- if the club decides to go down that track. They may not want to have a pick in PSD. However most likely they will. Note, we are guessing what our club will do.Nobody knows- I don't think the club has truthfully made up its mind yet. At least two months to go yet.

yer i was listenin to the same show by watson and maher

they said that there is no way davey will be leaving melbourne and the psd thing they said i think meant that it would be no good for davey entering the psd because we will re-draft.

i think we have him but still nervous, hope that stupid rumour at the isnt true.

Flash took Wonaeamirri (the Tiwi Turtle) to the brownlow as his date, and Wona apparently re-signed last week for 2 years. These boys are obviously very close, throw in the Warlpiri Warrior, and I would be astonished if Davey didn't re-sign with the Dees soon. I'm sure he is just ironing out a few details in the contract. Once he has we can all get back to the serious business of drooling over Scully and Trengrove

The club would be insane to re-draft him by the PSD if he wants to walk you have let him walk.

No good keeping any player who doesn't want to be there only creates problems.

PSD in my opinion is out of the question he signs on for the rest of his career or he's traded.

The swans managed to convince Ryan O'Keefe to stay when he was going all trade week and then he had a great season. I don't want it to come to that but the point is that you can get players back on board.

The latest from bigfooty

Gas Mask

He told Melbourne over the weekend that he wants a trade to the Dons.

McDonald has since left Bali and flown to Darwin to convince him otherwise.

river man

James Mcdonald has cut his trip to bali short to fly back and meet beetle bailey in darwin to try and convince aaron to stay with the dees.

I just cant see Aaron leaving. I cant comprehend it. The general consensus in the media seems to be that we are close to signing him, despite the rumours going around that he is entertaining the thought of leaving for Collingwood. That simply cant happen. It will completely and forever undermine my thin and precarious grasp on reality.

If we thought we couldnt hate Collingwood any more than we already do........imagine.

Hopefully the deal is done sometime over the next couple of days and we can get on with it.

I know its all just rumours so far? But shouldnt we be more worried about davey leaving?

How unstable with jurrah become if davey leaves? We know he left collingwood 2's because he was homesick, so what happens if we lose davey and then jurrah gets unstable without davey around, and becomes homesick again. We end up 2 pretty good players down, for really nothing?

From a pretty dark couple years, davey (along with frawley, grimes and colin this year) has been our shining light. I couldnt believe we'd only give him 2 years, he deserved 4 at least.

He is untouchable to our future success in my opinion

What the f**ka f**king F**k f**king F**k is going on.

I know it's only Bigfooty but-

I seriously expected to jump on the Dees website this morning and see the Davey signing.

Its starting to freak me out a bit now, if this thing with J-Mac is correct or even nearly correct.. i just about give up..

An curse the slackasses that put out the articles at MFC, that give us some information - as they've been few and far between, all year.

(In response to some posts above- i seriously would have thought there would be less chance of Brock McLean leaving (than Davey) after the way he represented us in the media, etc, throughtout the year.. so.. hold your breath!)

Ive heard the SEN announcement is a sponsorship announcement of some sort. Not news about Davey.

We'll find out soon I guess.

I think it's been pretty well documented by now that Homesickness had nothing to do with Jurrah leaving Collingwood. He went home because his friend had cancer. I don't think anyone can find fault with that.

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out
