I'm not overly confident. If you had've asked me 2 weeks ago I would have said 'in a canter'...

We're going to struggle just to get 22 fit players out there, plus Freo's youngsters are starting to put it together. They have Sandilands & Pavlich as well, with McPharlin and possibly Roger Hayden to return.

It depends on Freo's mood. If they come out and play like they did against Port, we'll get done comfortably. If they just rock up like its a low-key training session like they usually do, we'll be a chance...

I'm with Scully the Tank Engine on this one. Fremantle has a lot of kids, sure, but they still have some A-graders that are head and shoulders above basically our entire list. I'm talking Sandilands and Pavlich. Plus add to that a fit Headland and this match isn't going to be the easy 4th win we've all been hoping for.

Woww I agree

On form we should get done easy. Unless Morton get's 30 touches and 5 goals.

No.

I turned our injury list into a team this morning, they might beat them...

I wonder if our best 'injured 18' would beat our best 'fit 18' if they lined up against one another?

Food for thought...

If it were anyone other than Freo I'd be absolutely confident we'd get smashed given our injuries and recent 'form'. However, it is Freo, and they are the only team that are worse at the MCG than Port, and we saw what a joke that mob were. I still think we'll win.

This is our last chance to win this season. It would be nice to snag one more win for the year which is one more than last year. Winning is always important particularly when you have been down and out as long as we have. Beating Freo with less than half a team will be a good foundation and confidence builder leading into next year.

It we get smashed in this game Rds 21 & 22 are going to be shockers. It might be a case of "warning - look away now as the following content may offend!

With them at their worst, and us at our best... we'd give it a shake.

I wouldn't be putting any money on it though. Still, I'll be tuning in.

but thats the thing... the last round against the Sainters is unlikely to be pretty.. thats the game they might remember...not the freo one !! so what does it really matter ?

If Jurrah and Rivers play, meaning we don't need to have Dunn at FB and Newton/PJ/Spencer at FF, then yes we can beat the Dockers.

If we line up with the same team as last week, give or take Bruce/Bail, and play Valenti on Pavlich, than no, no we can't.

I'm backing us to go in and win this one knowing full well that it would be virtually impossible for us to win anymore matches after this one (and if in doubt, it would be very easy to tank against Carlton).

Based on last week - not a hope.

Based on Freo's perfomances from their beginnings - Dees by 10 goals

You mightn't be putting any money on it, but i've already slapped $1,000 for the Dockers to win by under 25pts on Addam Maric's betting account...

I think we can, despite injuries and their recent turnaround in form.

It's at the 'G, so i'm pretty sure we can get up. They don't play the G well, even at the best of times. If it were over there, then we'd be absolutely no chance. But it's not, and as this is our last winnable match for the season, i really hope we go out there and give it our best shot, and GET UP!

That all said, it's not the forgone conclusion it might have been 3 weeks ago.

I think we'll win it. Freo are playing in Melbourne. They may have a reasonable record against us in Melbourne, but ultimately, when they travel outside of Perth they're not a particularly threatening opponent. That said, if Jurrah or Robbo doesn't play, we probably won't win, unless Bate, Sylvia and Petterd kick a few between them.

I don't know why people were so pessimistic. This may have been the most likely all year that we were going to win.

And DB... has improved every year since he's been coach. Turning 3 wins into 4. At this rate we'll be flag winners in 2022.

:D

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
