Glad that Grimes' injury is not serious and that he is back in the team... but on the other hand, how the hell do we plan to lose with that backline?!

Bench will probably be: Whelan, Moloney, Morton and Sylvia

Bench should be: Spencer, Whelan, Valenti and Jetta

This is going to be one ugly game!

It's a shame McKenzie's injured.

If the starting 18 is a good guide of who's definitely in it seems Frawley and Grimes are going to slot back in, which is probably justified.

Which three do we drop from the extended interchange? I'd like Wheels to get to his [edit: 150] games.

No quick defender there, although I'm not sure Richmond are the ones to exploit it.

Anyway, look at the rest of the team ;)

Bewdy!! I tip Melbourne by 5 goals. Bloody good team, proves there is some integrity at the club.

I'd like Wheels to get to his 200 games.

Look at the forward line ;)

Oh no, we don't need milestone games to give the boys extra incentive to win. Keep him until the Freo game thanks.

Good point about the forward line.

The key though is to make sure we don't tag Cousins, Deledio or Cotchin so we give their forward the best possible supply.

He's 53 games away from that.

Cheney and Grimes should be ahead of him in the backline.

No Brock McLean again, will they declare he's put the cue in the rack for the year sometime next week?

Also, have a look at the Bombres side, they're giving West Coast a great chance to win at home: Lloyd, McVeigh, Davey and Winderlich all out injured!

Indeed. Three games away from a milestone, just that it's the 150th.

Cheney and Grimes should be ahead of him in the backline.

I assume that's why they were listed in the 18 :)

This week would be his 148th, so it'd be another two for 150 - that'd make it the Freo game!

Our midfield (at least in the 18) looks pretty weak, so they should win that battle.

We could be bolstered by guys from the extended interchange like Sylvia, Moloney and even Morton though.

I guess by fielding the named forwardline.

Bench will probably be: Whelan, Moloney, Morton and Sylvia

Yeah, I think that will be the final bench. The only one I would have any doubt about would be Wheels, but I think he will play. Moloney, Morton and Sylvia would be certainties I would think. I would prefer the suggested bench though.

This is definately a better lineup than last week. But I think we are playing a team playing better football than the one we faced last week.

I'm still confident we'll end the season with the 4 wins. But Sunday is going to be a strange strange day.

I'll take $100 on that. Odds? If that's what you see as a "bloody good team" I'm guessing this has been a good year for you

Yeah maybe....but theyd still have to change jumpers...

Best team they can select dear boy and that's what matters.

Would have been easy to leave out Frawley and Grimes in particular. And yes--I think they will win quite nicely. Don't bother looking at the forward line as selected--just look at the squad and see who may play there and you won't feel so certain. Of course Bailey will pick taggers for Cousins, Deledio and Cotchin and the 3 chosen will be playing for their future.

I suspect Newton and Miller will exact revenge upon a lot of knocker/tankers in the best possible way!

Looking forward to seeing you there cheering them on and singing the song!

Three taggers in the one game, Don ?!

Won't happen.

Would like to see Newton played back on Riewoldt, and Matty Warnock up forward for a very well-earned rest from defensive duties..

We need to maximise our chances as i think Richmond are a particularly flaky side, and coming off a big win with their tails up, they're likely to come back with a lowered intensity level and play a shocker, in typical Richmond style.

And tanking or not, i just can't understand how Moloney ends up on the extended bench when he's clearly been our best midfielder this year??

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
