the funny part is that they answered their own question. they are cracking the sads because we took an initiative off them. and then question us, and then state maybe its because we stole their prospective sponsor. i mean, why bring it up? we never went running publicly over mission foods. hypocrisy if you ask me.

the NT like Tas is a free market for any AFL club to develop. - Sour Grapes

if the WAFL leauge was so important to the doggies why did they not sponser them in the 5yrs they have been developing - Sour Grapes

Smorgan + co are quickly becoming the new biggest wingers in the AFL. Put up or Shut up!

Agree. Poor choice from Campbell Rose to bring this into the public. Doesn't help the Dogs at all.

Its probably the first time in 2-3 years that another team openly cares what we are doing.

Excellent signs ... were starting to ruffle a few feathers. I like it.

I whole heartedly agree!

The Bulldogs can cry me a river! What a bunch of hypocrites indeed! They shouldn't be complaining at all seeing as they got a fantastic sponsorship deal from Mission Foods and the Melbourne Demons were sponsorless during the Pre-Season competition! Luckily. we got Hankook and Kaspersky before the proper AFL season started.

It's about time the Melbourne Demons started to make other clubs angry. Most of time we barely raise an eyebrow. I'd rather have other AFL supporters be angry at our club than merely laughing at us.

The more (positive) news about the Melbourne Demons in the newspapers the better.

Keep up the good work Jimmy and Co!!! ;)

To cry like this means he is upset, to get upset over the two issues he brought up means they have lost out on something big, sponsering the womens league great but not a big loss, losing 1.2mil pa from the NT government that would make you cry, hopefully this is the case.

Absolute hypocrites after the way they poached the sponsor we had teed up. Hope we can turn this into an advantage for ourselves

"There is not a skerrick of animosity or resentment towards Melbourne in any fashion from our president, myself or our club, however I've often wondered if those sentiments have been reciprocated," Rose said.

Not sure how they can take a moral high ground in any of this considering they pounce on all the hard work MFC did with 'Mission' and now come out in the media to say they are squeaky clean but want to have a whinge at the same time. If they honestly thing that everything should just fall in their lap through whatever avenues then they need a reality check. Darwin isn't just an idea of the Bulldogs anyway, Port Adelaide have been considering for a while now about playing a small but long term part in the Darwin market, finances have forced the issue with them of late but they have traditionally had reasonably strong links with NT football.

Cry me a river Doggies, cry me a friggin river.

This has got to be one of the biggest whinges of recent times.....

Last time I checked the NT is an open market to whoever gets in there with the best deal. It is not "owned" by the Dogs no matter what they arrogantly seem to think. And as for the Women's League, well if they were doing such a bang up (pardon the pun) job on this front then the alleged initiative they seem happy to crow about now would still be with them wouldn't it?

But to publicly [censored] out another club trying to make its way in a competitive market (something obviously forgotten by WB hierarchy), and a former employee personally for making a go elsewhere is just pathetic. Especially when they really don't have a moral high ground to take after their dealings with Mission early in the year (which ironically we did not here our club publicly bitching about).

Grow up Bullies or you will be made to sit in the corner with a dunce hat on your heads  !!!

Lucky the Federal Government put in for their new setup at Whitten Oval. How Mission Foods sponsor was of the belief the Dogs at the time would have more community exposure.... They should have held off longer to learn about Casey. Their loss.

If it wasn't for the MFC, they wouldn't have the 1954 Premiership. :o:lol:

How's their membership figures this year? Spiralling down and dropping off I think.

How will they be on-field without when Aker, B.Johnson, Hahn and Eagleton......? Premiership contenders? ..Ha!

They better make the most of what they've got this year, because here come the Mighty Demons!!

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
