Lindsay's not great in tight congestion situations. He's another year at Casey away imv.

As soon as Moniz is at the level fitness and form wise i'm swapping these two immediately.

The attempted sneak HB from Rooh to Koz....and the Petty panic one towards the end of that Q were both super costly 👎🏻

Once they had 4 to 5 on the board we needed to switch into lock down man v man mode in the 1st and didnt (couldn't?).

If the coach won't call that switch up then Max def should even if it means overriding the general game style / method (trained) instructions. This is the diff between just playing like robots (even when getting smashed) and playing to win.

There's too distance between Chin's worst and his best. Either bridge the gap pronto or back to Casey son. Unfortunately not much to come in from there so he probably stays.

We are down one or two quality rotations in the middle. Vines on the other side of the mountain but still missed in the clinches when a lock down wrestle is needed like we saw in the 1st Q when they got off the leash.

Far too many HBs at player's feet tonight and so many fumbles / not enough once touch players.

Need another tall Forward Culley aint it, when JEFFO is fit hes the man

6 fumbles to nil in first 3 minutes says it all.

We don’t know how to tackle.

Started the 3rd just the same fumbling continually and giving them goals.

Actually pathetic.

How many scores from rebounding from our forward 50? I mean all 3rd quarter scores… do these guys forget how to defend?

Back to Q1 deficit. All the good work gone, that’s a shame.

Boys have to man up now and not let this get away from us. We will lose lots of games this year, but it’s important we lose them the right way and learn from them (sorry, learnings…)

Again... shld be man on man once they got the first two goals. Petty is a mile off the pace and his man.

Early days but him & Rick look a long way off AFL standards ATM.

[censored] sake can David King ease up on the predator-prey metaphors.

we definitely dont deserve to be winning but god the margin would be halved with even umpiring

Kentfield was ahead of him pre injury

I think people need to understand where we are as a club.

New game plan, new roles and responsibilities, new voice in the coaches box and a vastly different approach to transition.

We were always going to cop a few hidings this season. Freo in Perth is a tough assignment.

A week's a long time in footy

Had enough of the headless Jiath, he’s so dumb

CULLEY in the Ruck [censored] ME DEAD

unfortunately this is going pretty much as i think everyone expected

we're not very good, and they're a much better side

our midfield is awful fwiw - flagmantle up over 20 contested possessions now

Edited by whatwhat say what

HTB doesn't exist against freo

I’d like to see a stat of how many goals we have conceded from clangers

VFL average players are not the answer.

We could have Dunstable, lockets and ablest, wouldn't make any difference with our ball use

Moved on? To the forward line? They are doing OK down back, thanks.

Is that you, Simon?

XL and Langford look shot, no confidence. What ?

Can we get Pickett a pair of shorts that fit!

No tall fotwards need JEFFO when fit

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
