Apologies mate, I donโ€™t get the reference or correlation with my post.

Well in light of todayโ€™s news I hope we drop them immediately

Guerra needs to explain how we allowed these clowns on our sponsorship roster. He likely then needs to remove them. Not a great look. It still remains to be seen to be seen if all the talk can translate. I really hope it can because his role is so important to how we progress from here.

At least the scandals are happening well before the season so we don't have to cover their logo for Round 1 with black sticky tape Energy Watch style.

There should be some fantastic activations at the MA Services sponsor tent on Saturday, given their (alleged) creative approach to human resources, payroll and taxation compliance.

I hope we are not looking at Cameron Schwab V2 with our new CEO here. I mean itโ€™s not like security firms arenโ€™t by nature a little dodgy (often involve males and high levels of testosterone, bikies, retired boxers etc) so you would be demanding a high level of โ€œdue diligenceโ€.

I have already convinced myself that Guerra was the driving force behind the move to dump Tracc and Oliver on the market at the same time. The Tracc move made sense but not Oliver, not at the same time, ensuring we got zilch return for Oliver, as well as seriously weakening the midfield. Officially it was about the new coach and his game plan not suiting Oliver but I donโ€™t buy it that it was Kingโ€™s call. I see a new CEO coming in, determined to make a statement early.

And now we have new jumper sponsor issues evolving with each edition of the Age/SMH. I suspect Brian Cook might have his work cut out with this guy.

They must be dropped with haste.

Iโ€™m a little concerned that they havenโ€™t already.

Throw in Zurich and the drama they are currently causing Gus. Not overly rapt with our current sponsors ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„

Weโ€™ve terminated our sponsorship agreement with MA Services. Wonโ€™t be on our guernsey.

Wonder how much this will cost us.

Who cares, keeping them as a sponsor would cost us way more.

The right decision has been made.

Hard agree, didnโ€™t mean to suggest otherwise.

It does feel a lot like Energy Watch devaju , not only as to recent revelations but also as to the whole due diligence process. .Hopefully we wont experience the same difficulties in obtaining a replacement on at least equivalent returns .With the Goody,Gus and Clarry payouts coupled with Falling membership we were already facing financial hurdles that we certainly would npt have anticipated .

We Are The Demons
The Mighty Demons
From The MCG
We've Got Nothing To Do With Any Company Related To Energy

It wasn't as though we were the only ones with their sponsorship. They also sponsored Essendon, Hawthorn and Brisbane, as well as the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

Everyone has dropped them, absolutely correctly.

They've also had contracts cancelled by Coles, Sydney University, CBRE (world's largest commercial real estate services and investment firm) and been removed from the Victorian Government list of preferred suppliers.

Have been put into voluntary administration. Feel sorry for any workers impacted this close to Christmas

Good get from Guerra and in true corporate fashion not a peep from him when we axed them and how it came about that we allowed them to sponsor us. I certainly donโ€™t want to start bagging our new CEO but things like this really [censored] me off with corporates. Lots of great talk but nada when things go wrong.

Yet you bag the CEO anyway. I would have thought the reasons for the axing were obvious without the need to say why. The media reports about MA Services poor attitudes and problems took place well after the sponsorship agreement started.

The report of going into administration was only released this afternoon.

RIF it has been pointed out by mauriesy in an above post that there are numerous major organisations sponsored by this Group, including several other AFL sides so why go after Paul Guera, no one knows there is an issue until it is uncovered. I feel more sorry for the 1700 employees that are laid off just before Xmas.

Time for Guerra to stand down, got no idea.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: โ€œIs Melbourne even at the ground?โ€ Moments later, as Carltonโ€™s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demonsโ€™ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.ย
