Gawn's face! Priceless!

Final MFC vote tally

Max Gawn - 23

Christian Petracca - 16

Kysaiah Pickett - 10

Jack Viney - 8

Jake Bowey - 3

Christian Salem - 3

Jake Melksham - 2

It was a great interview and he does come across as an incredibly humble and lovely guy… but, if he left out all of those ums, it would gone for just five minutes.

Max & Trac both polled in 10 games (Kozzie 4)

Being in the best 3 on the ground 10 games out of 23 is a fair effort

Has been wearing Asics since he was 10yo and thanks them in his Brownlow speech…

Blessssssss 🥹

Brilliant. Very happy.

The way he really loves the people around him is awesome. He has so much respect for them all and means it 100%.

Great result.

Why congratulate NDaicos? He is just one of hundreds that didn't win it.

Interesting power dynamic that that comment was made by Goyder the AFL chairman

What I dont understand is everyone realises there is a crazy bias towards mids. It was obvious last year when one player had twice as many votes as every other except one. But yet they again sit down and give 3 votes to mids for 16 touches. I'm almost certain this is being rigged for betting purposes.

Clarry, pretty reasonable season for ZERO votes, twice coaches MVP of the year... massive and UNFAIR fall

Collingwood didn’t make the granny.

Naicos didn’t win the Brownlow.

This year has ended up not too shabby after all.

Gee Oliver 0 votes.

Poor matty, everyone's talking about NAS got getting the 3.

Anyway not only do I not have to read about the pies in a gf but I don't have to read about daicos winning the brownlow. Good times

I can’t believe Hamish mentioned it in his summary of the leaderboard. He said NAS on 23, many people think it should be 24. Real professional, Hamish. You [censored].

Does anyone know Rowell's odds beforehand?

Not sure Hamish is worst on ground tonight

Outstanding effort. Petraccais useless! Past it! Get rid of him!

Good to see Matt Rowell* getting up over both Nick Daicos and Bailey Smith 👍😃

  • future Carlton midfielder 😁

I hope Essendon and Carlton get into a bidding war and bankrupt their clubs of draft picks and Essendon end up with another 10 years of no finals.

FWIW Smith winning would have been worse than Daicos

On the other hand, Langford was robbed.

AFL congratulating Daicos is sickening

You should apologize to Bont! He is someone who has been robbed several times.

The AFL should apologize to Robbie Flower.

I listened to a podcast during the week that said the last 17 Brownlow winners were all in the top 5 in the league for contested possessions.

You can make that 18 now and I don't even need to fact check myself Daicos isn't getting contested possessions.

Besides Maynard, Nick Daicos would have to be my most hated player ever. So soft. His old man and brother at least had / have a go

I'm glad Daicos didn't win it.

but he is a great player and anyone saying otherwise is blinded by their hatred of the pies

Exactly. Have him and we win 12 games this year. Superb player. Gets heaps of attention. He is hardly 'soft'. People used to say Flower was a bit soft because he was so skilful and purely a ball player. But he was as tough as buggery.

Agree. Bec was glassy eyed, especially her interview with her love interest Patrick Dangerfield. I thought it was a Geelong B&F night with Smith and Danger as the features.

Agree. Hamish. Look at me. Look at me. Shut up and move on. Plenty of games… plenty … where the votes were strange and the NAS 2 votes was just one of many!! His interviews were cringe worthy. 3/10 score We miss Bruce Mc every day !!

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
