More so than Fitzroy? If you answer with the Brisbane Lions, you need to review Buffy the Vampie Slayer seasons 1 & 2.

I'm trying hard to figure out what you're asking and I'm assuming you mean deserve more than Fitzroy? No fan base deserved that and I would hope it doesn't happen again.

Brent “Tiger” Crosswell was a great footballer of the 60s to the 80s. He was recruited to Carlton from Tasmania and was a premiership player for the Blues and the Kangaroos. He finished his career at the Demons (48 games) under the great Ron Barassi. He is against the Macquarie Point Stadium and will be speaking against it next week.

He’s been suffering from a rare illness for some time so it’s good to see him looking so good in this vision.

Alright I reviewed those seasons. Xander had the hots for a bug lady, Willow becomes an actual ghost, Giles says we are all doomed, and Buffy having sex nearly ends the world.

I don’t get what you are saying. WHAT AM I MISSING

HELP ME UNDERSTAND

Not that I would ever wish to be thought of as being pedantic, but can something become extinct if it hasn’t ever existed?

I read the other day the Stadium bill passed in the Lower house with a scoreboard like the 88 Grand Final.

Uncertain as to what the Upper house will do.

Going to put a big dent in North's bottom line.

Hawks should be able to cover off their loss.

They may be asked to play in Devonport but you have to wonder how long the State Government can support the bread and circus brigade.

Ticket pricing will be interesting for such a small stadium

You’d have to figure there’s zero chance the Tassie government will be subsidising North and Hawthorn whilst trying to fund that stadium and a training venue. North will end up having to sell four home games to WA (or some other far flung destination) each year.

The North/South divide is electoral dynamite in Tasmania.

You would think that they would want to play 11 games at the Taj Mahal.

This means buying in extra games for Devonport. I can see North v Devils being played in Tasmania. Similar for some other teams even dare I suggest.... us.

Then again where does the Tassie gov't find the money??

Bunbury, Geraldton, Albany, Wagga Wagga, Dubbo, Rockhampton, Cairns, Townsville. Mildura, Noosa, Byron Bay, Newcastle, Ballina, Tweed Heads, Wollongong. Plenty of options available.

Good day for Tasmania.

Not really. Health and how poorly the money is spent will be the cause of that.

Good night for the Tasmanian economy?

A disaster I would think...

Pphhhtt! A drop in the ocean compared to Victoria's debt.

Most of Victoria's debt is 0.1% and owned by one hand of government, the RBA.

No such semis are likely to be bought up by the RBA to fund this.

Yes... most definitely a nod to that probability. We're not daft 😉

For many years I went down to Tassie for work and I got to know the Aussie rules situation. The divide between the North and South is the classic “them and Us”. Back in the early eighties they tried to have a play off between the North and South Premiers. First problem was neither league would agree to hold the meeting in the others area. South would not go north and vice versa. A couple of years later they meet at midlands, as the name suggests it is approx half between the North and south. It still didn’t achieve the desired result . One item which I believe neither league would agree to was where would they play the first game. Now a lot of water has flown under the bridge since then but there would still an element of that now. I had customers in the North that had never been to Hobart. Why go there would rather fly to Melbourne! It’s a strange place. I have an affection for it, it’s one of the best holiday destinations in Australia. In a lot of ways it reminds me of England.

Cool so if that’s team 19 sorted…

When will they announce team 20?

Uneven #s doesn’t work for the competition growth or value

Hopefully North continues to falter, 18 teams is enough.

I wonder if relocation has seriously been considered, unthinkable as that may be.

They (Norf) do already play there and have a presence
