Who comes in and who goes out?

Reality in... pretence out

Maybe hope their bathwater is tastier than ours?

There's certainly a lot more of it!

Need height down back but not sure we’ve got any that will actually stop them. It would be Adams for Howes and he’d have to play on Naughton and let Disco intercept. We probably just go Disco on Naughton and hope Howes and Rivers can offer some chop out.

Can’t do much for the midfield. Not sure there’s any need to swap the starting small forwards. JVR isn’t going well but not sure this is a Jeffo game.

I’d go Lindsay sub again and have Sharp at Casey because he needs full games.

Adams and Lindsay IN

Sharp and Melksham OUT

Melk rested/sore hammies

Need a 3rd tall for the dogs

Only change will be Sharp out for Lindsay unless Melk is sore

Baptism of fire for Adams to go up against Darcy/Naughton

True, would be a tough first game but there are no easy ones left and it’d be good to see what he’s got, with T Mac, Turner and Howes to help him

I don’t there is any chance Petty goes back after playing so well up fwd. He was our focal point all game

The last time Dees and Dogs met after thumping wins in their previous games...

I agree, Petty has played forward all year and probably won't be shifted. English is also in fair form and will make it harder for Gawn to float back.

True

Would big Campbell be a chance?

Backline is a concern without May and an in-form Lever. But agree with previous comments, probably not the game to bring in Adams.

Out: part time, hand wringing, fair weather supporters

In: genuine support for the boys

Well that cancels out half the team. Not sure we can field a team in the next few weeks

Just Lindsay in for Sharp.

Best of luck Disco and T Mac, you’re gonna need it!

Looking forward to us returning to the ‘G after two weeks at that soulless stadium which I refuse to set foot in. Will be there in full voice - win, lose or draw.

Thank God this game is at the MCG. That drops at least 8 goals off what the Dogs can score.

Tommy Mac on Darcy, Turner on Naughton.

If Darcy gets off the leash, swing Petty back onto him. He's got the height.

Not convinced we're gonna win this one.

This, perhaps?...

Who knows with selection ? It’s a lottery

Their forward weapons

Darcy. Prefer Petty to play back on him but Goody will keep him forward, so it’s probably Tmcd

Naughton. Probably Turner

West. McVee.

Midfield. Bont. Libba. Richards. Kennedy. Sanders. Williams

Versus

Oliver Trac jv7 Kozzzzy Langdon Langford Windsor

Big matchup in midfield

Defence. Runners. Dale. JJ. Freijah

Need to stop Dale we let too many HBF run and run and kick and run etc etc

Chandler Sparrow Fritsch need to tighten up on their rebound

Defence. Talls. Lobb Busslinger O’Donnell Cleary

Can JVR and Petty and Melksham have any influence ?

Miscellaneous. Bramble McNeil Poulter. Vdm. Dogs weakness or strength is also their 20-23. Dees can identify this also.

I’m happy to take you on. I’m betting we win 1 perhaps 2 of the last 3

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
