Missed holding the ball, and now it’s gone back for a holding to Curnow?

Of course.

100%. I was so disappointed in Goodwin on FC last week. Had a [censored] soap box placed in front of him but he didn’t say boo. If I was Max I’d have called him to say you let me down.

The whole Gus situation has been shameful from all and sundry.

AFL omertà

The whole thing is disgusting

On the 360 last week when they were criticising the footage of Andrew Brayshaw bleeding and how would Mrs Brayshaw feel - she’s lost one kid playing because multiple head shots

[censored] no

Gus was taken out after 6 years of being fine by the sniper [censored] and NO ONE FROM THE CLUB SAID TICKETTY BOO

Yep it should have gone to Oliver

Nah here u go, Umps will make sure of it

Goody needs to raise the lack of frees for Oliver. Constantly held and not rewarded for his tackles.

Thanks umps

TDK is possibly the softest big man I've ever seen. He gets out marked by blokes 20cms shorter and 20kgs lighter than him. Constantly [censored] his dacks. If he's worth over a million to a team, then actual footballers like Kozzie must be worth 10 million a year.

Spoke too soon!

Rigged

I think this might be the end of watching footy for awhile for me.

I just can’t do the umpiring anymore.

It is not a fair sport. It is broken.

Holding the ball only applies to one team apparently?? Get stuffed umpires. SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT.

Fitting. Ignore the HTB for oliver, and pay every hold for them

This competition is rigged. No doubt in my mind. When is someone gonna call the AFL out? Disgusting.

What a joke

Run down tackle from behind player doesn't dispose, get paid every time but then. Curnow free absolute BS. This is a disgrace

Floating mark over unsuspecting pack. Nothing tough about it as spectacular as it was.

The state of the game is at an all time low. These umpires and LC have completely ruined the game.

It’s impossible to watch

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
