Has anybody seen Josh Daicos kick?

Normally if your brother can kick you can.

When your brother is paid to kick a ball and you have an elite sports background i think you are worth the risk

An excellent question WJ.

From his coaches notes at North Florida Ospreys he is 6’5” and 205 lb, similar size to Rick and Disco.

205 lbs is equivalent to 92.986 kg. Certainly a frame to build an ‘AFL’ ready body.

College basketball in the USA unlike the precious pretenders here, is able to give fans some idea about physical presence of an athlete.

Good with a soccer ball apparently.

Here’s an idea, sounds crazy but hear me out…

Let’s give the guy a go.

I know, it’s so much easier to write him off before he even arrives at the club, based purely on the fact that he’s coming from a basketball background, but let’s see how he goes.

I agree Ghosty!

Here comes Bont 2.0!

Not sure what his current circumstances are but in general during season CatB signings should to allowed to train and play (likely suburban or VFL) to enable them to prepare for their 1st pre season.

The AFL is a bit behind on these sorts of things.

Manny100 I believe he is back in USA playing basketball until September but will be available for a full preseason with us.

Yep, as I posted earlier he is "chunky" - solidly built. Not "gangly". Sorry for the technical terms....

If you want some confetti, come along after the wedding. There is a lot lying around.

And if you pick it all up you will be doing every one a favour .

Not all, just as long as you dont state he played AFL as a junior.

you're just being deliberately obstreperous, bbb. you knew quite what the poster meant

and, i can assure you that young people (i.e. the juniors), do in fact refer to australian rules football generally, as "afl".

A couple of under age B&Fs at Aberfeldie and a father working in high performance sports.

Sounds like a good pedigree

Nice pick up

And they should be corrected every single time.

It's Game Day on Friday night. ANZAC Eve. The big stage at the ‘G. The Demons return to the spotlight for one of our most significant nights on the football calendar, taking on the Tigers in a clash that always carries extra weight given the gravity of occasion of the commemoration of the ANZAC Spirit. Under the lights, in front of a packed house, this is where moments are made. Can the Dees rise to the occasion and deliver on the big stage, or will Richmond spoil the night? All the build-up, discussion, and in-game reactions here. Go Dees.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
