I thought Max's performance today was incredible especially given the fact he had to contend with two oppo ruckmans who simply just played the man all day long and didnt contest the ball at all.

It may have worked for Grundy last year but Maxy taught him a lesson today.

Better, Kozzie is a disrupter of opposition composure. The way Max takes long down the line out of the equation, Kozzie puts the fear of God into rebounding defenders. Jurrah a better mark, but everything else Kozzie.

Why wouldn’t they try TMac up forward in place of AJ?

In good form , good mark and can kick, I’d say he could even do better than Petty.

Just nicked off to watch the game again before bed.
What I'd give to be able to mute the commentators and just have crowd noise.
Brereton ..... Arrrgh 🤬

AJ has presence, and is a great 2nd ruck. I also like his positioning and he runs with the fall of the ball. I sincerely hope JVR comes good, but the way AJ is moving when the ball is on the deck applies pressure that JVR doesn’t bring. He still ball watches, after he feels the contest has past him, AJ keeps moving regardless, it’s valuable. And his nouse to tap rather than take possession should get more credit, kept ball alive. Oh by the could the previous Petty haters (apart from STFU) apologize, all that garbage about him not being invested.

After one of Derm’s trademark inane comments (something to do with Brad Johnson looking at Fritsch’s eyes or something), I made the comment that Fox Footy obviously hate us - it’s the only explanation for why they give us the garbage they do.

A Deemolition of the Swans! Only inaccurate kicking for goal kept the Swans in it until the dam eventually burst. Having Salem, Oliver and Melksham in form makes a big difference. The Dees are still alive and kicking in 2025 👍

To think Tracc could have played his 200th for a different club puts into perspective how much of a privilege it is to watch him go about his work for us. The same really can be said for Claz as well and i'm so looking forward to his milestone match this year.

One day it will be hard to fathom we got to see Max, Kozzy, Tracc, Claz etc. all in the same team.

EXACTLY .... You aint in Finals mode let alone Premiership mode with an A.J in your side... Class Wins flags!

Waiting for Kingy to retract his Oliver is unlikely to be an A grader again.

He's in that premiership year form again.

It's amazing that after the endless stream of proven bad calls and comments you've made over years, that there's never been a hint of self regulation or reflection. Take a step back for once and enjoy the win

So apparently the fox commentators couldn't be bothered to come to the G to call. That's disgraceful

Ah that explains a few of BTs comments during the game. At first I thought he was having a crack at Melbourne supporters but then he was saying you really have to be at the game to get a proper feel for the crowd.

I flicked over to fox during the adds but after less than a minute of listening to Breteton I had to switch back. My god he is painful.

There was so much to like but what impressed me most was our forward pressure in the last quarter when the game was done and dusted.

Boys were hungry today it was awesome to see.

Yep I just can't be convinced that it's some coincidence that his one poor year (2023) came when he had a shaved head.

Another game, another really good win, another step forward in attracting players in the off-season.

(And coaches, support staff, sponsors ... not to mention members.)

this. watching him live today, he's in great form, probs our best tall back when the ball hits the ground, and marking beautifully. Great call by Goodwin to rest Tmac. I think this is a crucial period in Turners development where he is playing elite footy. you don't want to mess with that. They will bring Tmac back no doubt but they may have to move him forward. turner is playing irresistible footy.

Yep.

And he has a couple if attributes Tmac doesn't, or at least not to the same level - genuine speed and excellent lateral movement.

I'm loving how goodTurner is running back with the flight of the ball.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
