Probably an honourable, but showed signs tonight. I hate blaming umps but [censored] me. They give Geelong an eternity to get rid of the ball "play on" any 50)50 free kick Geelong

So the difference basically is the two late goals we gave up in the first quarter. Give it your all Dees.

Chandler has been huge

Unlikely we'll win from here, we just waste too many entries into our fwd 50.

I counted at least 3 certain goals missed due to our poor disposal.

They’re putting their hearts into it. lack polish but can’t argue with the effort. still in it at 3/4 time is better than i was thinking.

sharp very lightweight. offering very little

He looks a bit one dimensional. And he might have speed in a straight line but isn’t evasive. Reminds me of Sam Blease, except not as quick maybe.

Genuinely questionable umpiring - glad to see us lift now. Not wanting an honourable defeat.

Didn't sight Henderson or Langford much in the third.

Very proud of the effort. A few playing light weight but most are giving everything they have. Even if they mess it up they are tying to change he angle and run into spaces. But I don't know how much more bad F50 play I can take. Burning players running past or free, missing targets by 2-5 metres, kicking to the advantage of the defender when we have a one-on-one.

We can do it from here, but I think our general sloppiness will shoot us in the foot.

We CAN win this.

Will we?

No way, we should've scored 3 more goals in that QTR. Wasting our entries to our fwd 50.

Great.

Hopefully that's the last we ever see of Sharp in a Melbourne jumper.

Tracc standing up now

Jesus Fritsch

He's playing better than previous weeks but still making the occasional meal.

And sadly still kicking zero goals.

How many for the year?

One.

I.mean it's the fwd line from hell.

No firepower at all.

Six goals.

Move Tmac or May Goody.

You can be as stubborn as you want but good luck being stubborn when your coaching from your couch at home mate.

Won't be long now if we lose this.

Do something.

Your only staring down the barrel of unemployment.

Stupid kick by gawn & even dumb by fritsch then.

I know he isnt a mid fielder etc but is there any chance Max could kick a low raking kick up the line instead of attempting to seed the clouds almost every time

Spargy pants on for Sharp. That'll get Dazz up and about!

Why didn't Fritsch steady then.....seems to panic and just wants to get rid of the ball.

Dees could pull off a narrow win here with a bit of luck ... have showed some positive intent and signs in the 3rd quarter ...

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
