If Buckley gets the gig, should he sit Petracca down give him both barrels & see if he wants to be at the club & if so offer him the VC with the promise of Captaincy in 2027?

Yeah no-one is going to take on his full salary. He might agree to a big cut to move and we might get full relief that way. Better to keep the devil we know IMO.

Probably not but that should be the focus on any trade. Don't worry so much about what we're getting back, worry about clearing the cap space.

Would not be surprised Oliver will end up at Richmond . Rich. gets Oliver plus our 2 nd ,Melb gets pick 3 and rich 4 th rounder.

North will get Lever for their 2nd rounder min plus a 3rd rounder.

Essendon will get Fritsch and possibly Jefferson and our 2nd rounder via Nth plus Ess. pick 7 and a 4th rounder.

Laurie might be used as steak Knives.

Melb might get L.J or Freo's Darcy for pick 7.

Hopefully we can make a play for Port's Georg... 2x 2nd rounder and a future 2 nd rounder.

All of the above are on my WISH LIST.

I'm a keep for both as I think the new coach should have at least one year to work on getting them back to near their best.

Hopefully Hawthorn lose next week and believe they are one big bodied midfielder away and target Petracca.

My view is we need to shake up the midfield with a bit more polish and we are stuck with Viney and Oliver.

The new coach should get a say in this decision but not the final say. The impact on our salary cap to trade Viney or Oliver would be crippling.

May is another player we could look to move on from and potentially the Dogs would see him as the missing link for them. He was looking like he was done in the last two weeks and I am not sure he is in our window even if he is able to regain form next year.

I was thinking this as they watched Rayner tear them a new one in the second half last night,

I also agree that the Dogs failings should see May overvalued by the Dogs to try and stay in the mix with Bevo there and Bont still at his best.

Jake Nial just mentioned on the Real Footy Pod, that: "Hawthorn are one of the clubs thats most aggressive around Harley Reid and they're also lurking around the Christian Petracca situation"

I love how you have thought about this but there is no way the Tigers will involve pick 3 in any deal for Oliver

Confused Thinking GIF

I want both to stay, a more upbeat fast game plan and i reckon we see these two play much better football.

I have changed my mind the last few weeks. Keep both. Keep them happy + invested. A better gameplan and a big preseason focused on skills and fitness and these two will be back to their best. Would hate to see them regain form at another club.

Butters to the Dees. Huge

Awesome!

But who what where?

What do we trade?

Just a guess but based on the graphic.

Petracca to Carlton

Walsh to Port

Butters to Dees

🤪

If we were to lose Petracca you would definitely take Butters!

Haha both of these, as of people staying up that late to watch [censored]…I might watch that [censored] if it was earlier…and YouTube and Netflix were both broken

This has come from a mind of an absolute genesis. Thank goodness for 'Land.

According to ch. 7 Hinkley will be offered a gig at Hawthorn and will lure Butters across. By all accounts they are very close, Hinkley is like a dad to Zak.

Why single out just this one? 😁

Big news dropping?

I think ch 9 will play a rerun of last years Dees segment to save on production costs and McClures skyrocketing salary due to his ‘no-miss’ record in trade news over the last 5 years.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
