Just out of interest, can anyone recall a player openly nominating a club and then not getting there?

Pretty sure Nick Stevens nominated Collingwood, and the deal didn't get done, so he nominated for the PSD and ended up at Carlton.

PS: The bloke was the biggest piece of excrement in AFL history.

Do you trust the young core we have?

Say ready to compete in 3-4 years, as long as we recruit intelligently (unlike during our premiership window 🫠)

define 'young'

personally i have my doubts on tholstrup while i think jefferson is a pure bust

langford, lindsay, and windsor are all very promising

Do you believe any of the club's [censored]? Green, Lamb, Guerra and now King all talking over each other, and none of them make any sense. It's the biggest case of football maladministration in memory.

The mismanagement was giving a whopping contract to Clarry. List management decisions in general have also been poor the last few years

But the club needs a reset. and i'm fully behind it. We've basked in the glory of 2021 and failed to deal with disruptive influences and failed evolve and change

This reset might not work but it has to happen now before Tassy come into the comp.

Papley couldn't get to Carlton after nominating them (if memory serves me correctly)

Cornes isn’t wrong about Oliver’s Contract being the worst in AFL history, hasn’t fired a shot since he signed in, now we’re willing to pay $700k+ for him to play somewhere else, talk about mismanagement and a total [censored] show

No one could have predicted the downfall of Oliver. He was the best player in the comp coming off a flag and 2 Coaches awards

I still think the Grundy 10 year on massive coin at the time is worse but the Clarry is clearly not working out.

Morris just said that St Kilda gets Flanders and we get pick 7

I’ve done this bluff before but if all we get for trac is pick 7 (11 after academy bids and WC Allen compensation) I genuinely can’t justify my membership price for next season

He did, but he was also equivocal.

He acknowledged that Melbourne could still get Flanders.

They don't even eat carbs on the gold coast. Trac day job is in trouble

Check out Tracs Terrific Cauliflower Steaks. Will make you feel 70 again

Petracca and Pick 23 (Freo) and 27 (Freo) to Gold Coast

Flanders and McVee to Freo

Jackson and Pick 13 (GC) to Melbourne

Who says no?

Cornes on trade radio said Trac for pick 7 is perfectly fair.

Why in gods name would we accept pick 7 for a norm smith medalist, and probably one of the better Demons to ever play.

It’s just insane.

If the club accepts it, they deserve to lose boat loads of members.

Have to say I'm pretty relaxed about The Brand © wearing that monstrosity of a guernsey in front of two guys and a dog at a footballing backwater. If they ever do win a flag all of 23 people will care.

"The 28-year-old Norm Smith medallist met with the Gold Coast on Thursday after both the Demons and Petracca decided he should explore his options during the trade period."

He's de-aging now he wants to leave

Cornes next week: “how did Melbourne allow their best players to leave for pick 7 in a weak draft? They’re a mess”

To be fair Cornes struggles with Little Golden Books.... bless his little heart.

If only he had bothered to listen to what our club has already laid down as the parameters of a deal.

Freo they don't need Flanders and will pick up McVee on the cheap

The Media in August 2025

Trac and Oliver are too slow, can't kick and are bringing culture issues to MFC. The Demons need to change

The Media now:

Petracca is a gun, what a get for the Suns! The Demons are imploding

When we gave the contract to Clarrie, he was widely considered to be the premier midfielder in the competition, had won 2AFLCA awards, numerous best and fairest at Melbourne, and generally the contract was applauded. I just think it's terrible that we are now trying to get rid of him when he looked to me to be on his way back after a rough couple of years. I, for one, will be absolutely devastated to see him go.

Well trac has always wanted to play in front of large crowds.

Very funny. Media [censored] further exposed
