This short [censored] has to go

Chipping around half back and then creating a path through seems to be used a lot more than previous seasons.

Tackling and pressure excellent.

An uninspiring game, with few highlights, lots of spilled marks, lots of fumbling, and missed shots at goal.

May and Langdon excellent. Trac and Clarry looking really good.

Goalkicking - grrrrr...

Johnson looking handy.

Flat and uninspiring so far.

Our skills are appalling. Really hope we’re lulling them into a false sense of security only to switch it up in the second half.

Billings has gone to Kynan Brown's barber it seems!

And Simon Eishold’s goal kicking school

Billing’s can’t handle pressure. Gameplan is still a mystery, looks slow and uncertain

Dee Spencer is correct - we just don't move the ball. Zero run and carry....other than Koz there is no speed or dare. Devoid of ideas at half back because no one has the speed or creativity to create any space.

Very vanilla and boring so far

So I assume Windsor is not playing HB?

Slow ball movement = no space up the ground = turnovers = mounting scores against = lose the game.

How can billings make that kick but miss two relatively easy shots on goal?

How many psychologists can we fit in the soft cap?

1.8 in nearly two quarters.

Not only is that woeful but who the hell is our goalkicking coach??

I thought we were going to be more aggressive with our ball movement?

This is uninspiring. A praccy is a perfect place to trial dash and dare! If we lose, we lose, it’s ok, but if we lose playing safe and boring like much of last year, what’s the point?

Freo embarrassed us TWICE last year.

What’s the point of this?

What’s the message?

Chocos kicking school is worse than Trump University

We've made zero adjustment with our ball movement.  It's the same as 2024.

Look at the way Freo transition off half back compared to us.

Another year of slow boring football.

He's never done it before....

Horrible kicking in front of goal to have 1.5 from set shots inside 50, how do you coach for that

I was hoping to see at least a glimmer of a new game plan

We are getting towelled up again

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
