A nasty injury to come back from. Not a short recovery either.

It's always been his weak spot.

i saw 6-12 weeks from now nominated as a likely timeframe, so back before gil's round a chance

I think the article on afl said 6-12 months if we are talking about Todd Marshall

I hate to see any player cop that sort injury, particularly in the preseason.

ah, i read it on the sun website first and they were saying 6-12 weeks; presumably they actually meant months

i did think 'that's a quick recovery'

Yep ... can relate to that.

Coughing and laughing weren't great either.

Yeah coughing, laughing, hiccups even just deep breaths.
All not ideal.

Thanks for the invite!🤪

Feel for Todd Marshall, good player who could be great if his body would hold up. The Dee’s have had their fair share of those.

Jack Lukosius should be a logical replacement for Marshall as that third key forward option.

Good bit of recruiting in hindsight by Port.

lukosius is a strange one

he went from a precocious talent to an atrocious one

Well whoever that tackler was should be unleashed on Maynard next season

For a second I thought you meant unleashed to Maynard for doing such a thing!

The good old Feral Hun.  Sometimes I think they are not even sure when they are peddling disinformation, misinformation or simply making a mistake (which I think they did this time)

Sensational reporting Ethan!

Cracked ribs are worse than tennis elbow.

But golfers balls is no laughing matter for sure.

As for Achilles injuries, time wounds all heels.

I am concerned that while ribs heel quickly, if it's the same ribs compliments of Moore's knee, is it likely to happen again?

Do they become as good as prior?

I think all of this will test Tracc's mental fortitude.

It could impact his confidence in his body and thus his game.

Oh Cwood you pack of t#76$, another gift from them that keeps taking.

And to think there were rumors about Tracc joining them.

That game where Tracc was injured, was a missed opportunity to repay a few debts.

 Shame.

In three consecutive losses against Collingwood:

1) We've lost a club great due to a crude hit

2) We lost out best player for the second half of that season, effectively ending our season at the time

3) Lost our gun small forward live wire for the first 3 games of the next season, potentially threatening our W/L record to start the 2025 season.

What's next?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
