Pick 5? No way

But would definitely be interested in asking the question as he’s a high quality mid when he can get on the park

Had his chance to join us after we won the flag. That ship has now sailed.

Pick 5? For Cerra who spends more time rehabbing his hammy than playing?

Hmmmm no

Anybody know what sort of money he would be on? Only played 13 games this season and that’s probably what to expect he will play again next year.
When fit he would definitely offer us something.
Id be willing to part with whatever we get for Nibbler but nothing more.

No, 5 is wayyyyyyyy too much for Cerra. i doubt he'd fit where we are at now to be honest.

I'd be keen on him. About to turn 25.

Had a good season last year playing 22 games.  Would be worth a late first rounder I'd guess

Would add versatility to our midfield group

I'd give our second round pick for him.

If we could get his body right he'd be a super pick up for us

Would come with the full salary no doubt

Making room for Houston

His value hasn’t increased since moving to Carlton, would not be giving up p5 for him.

Yep. Both cap space and trade assets. Blues don’t want to give up p11 in Houston trade.

And despite some (valid) criticism of our high performance team, we’ve been really good when it comes to avoiding and managing soft tissue injuries

I’d back them in to get him fit if he came over

my hope with mcadam is that our fitness staff having broken down his body to get him back up in 2025 and beyond

For those saying 2nd round pick

What would you accept if you were the Blues?  He was pick 5, then traded 3 years ago for pick 6.  Has had injuries but has played 53 games in 3 years at the Blues but with some good footy in 2023.

We'd have to give up the equivalent of a pick between 14-18 I think.  maybe pick 25 and F2?

I reckon his best footy is ahead of him. Maybe if the Blues want a salary dump that could help us in negotiations

Blues have pick 11 so Port would want a high 2nd rounder in addition you'd think

Is Cerra known for running defensively?

If he goes both ways, I’d take him as an upgrade on Sparrow for sure. Certainly finds the ball more than Tom

I’d prefer to keep ANB over bringing in Cerra. Carlton can have whatever pick we get for ANB. Otherwise, no dice. Pick 5 is actual insane.

Would be a good pick up. No way you depart with Pick 5 though. Cerra over McCrae &Daniels in the pursuit of our ANB return.

Pick 5 is fair for Houston.

Pick 5 is certainly too high for Cerra.

Pick 5 is too high for either IMO.

If you offered me both for pick 5, I'd give it some serious thought.

It’s apparently sailing into Port of Melb for any of the 9 remaining clubs who wish to sail with it!!!

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
